@daddykool then what would people do ? choose tier 3 banks just coz they are likely to get posting in their home city ? and what guarantees them a posting in their home city or home state ? nothing to be honest. I had cleared UNITED INDIA INSURANCE LIMITED AO exam in 2012 september, went for the interview, cleared the interview. got selected and got posted in SATARA ( town) in mahrashtra - 4 hours away from Pune and 8 hours away from mumbai. There is no guarantee that we would get a city posting.

a person from general category will get seats according to the overall ranking or the general category ranking

Where does UIIC comes in all this discussion? People want region wise banks here. You must be knowing that many people from the North who were selected in both UIIC and OICL or NICL or NIAC, left UIIC....So please, I know what I am saying.

around 44 K...cant say how many won't join....may be 1000 or so...
