@Dinselva go for indian bank/iob/corp/canara/syndicate...because they are all south based banks...so that max. chances for home posting...you can even go for andhra bank...

@optimistickumar k...but can u tell my chances to get slctd, coz after reading certain posts like unreserved category will be filled in last, i got a bit tensed....my marks are 61...n general category ranking is 9500

Go for Canara , Corp if you want south postings otherwise, BOB, IDBI, PNB, BOI kinda banks if posting doesn't matter!

Nitin mate, General seats means Unreserved seats. Any quota candidate if he /she fulfills the General criteria is allotted the UR seat, after that the quota seats are filled. Google about this and you will find some Supreme Court directives on this. :)
@daddykool i didn worry about north india or south india postings... but for initial years i wd like to work in cities... since i ve given my upsc mains this time.. i ll appear for upsc one more time... any suggestions mate?

My father talked with a Bank manager and according to him,i should go for PNB,union bank of india,BOI,and OBC to get home posting in north region....(corporation and UCo were already in my list)...i will go to meet another bank manager tomorrow and hopefully he gives info i am looking for ...
Out of this OBC has suddenly gone up in my preference list as it is gurgaon based and most of branches are in delhi,haryana ...its salary i equivalent to BOB and has good work culture...
I am thinking of putting it among first 2 options...plz friends,if anyone have heard about positive /negative point about OBC ,let me know...
