@Shad0w said:Are bhaiyyo, vacancies are 22k and if your overall rank is within 22k, a bank for u is pakka. Forget reservation, there are more reserved category candidates than the stipulated seats reserved for them, suppose there are 5k SC students within the 22k rank, top/bottom 3409 of this 5k would be allotted the reserved seats...the remaining 1591 SC candidiates would be counted and allotted a bank as per their overall ranking. The same goes for ST/OBC. Its not that a SC candidate with overall ranking 43k gets a place in the 22k seat just bcoz he/she is from SC, yes that would have been the case if the qualified no of SC students would have been less in no than the reserved no of seats for that particular caste. Nahin samajh mein aya? Suppose the total no of SC candidates in the top 22k overall ranking was 2k and reserved seat for them was 4k, then only the SC candidates who are having ranks above 22k would come into play, to fillup the vacant reserved 2k seats. Abhi rona bandh karo, only advantage of reservation now at this stage is that... a general candidate with rank 18k cannot get PNB or BOB for eg, whereas a SC candidate with overall ranking 19k may get PNB or BOB through his/her SC ranking....dats all!

...??...i was happy to have some time for myself aand family, but this is gnna be too much..:P...could you tell me , which out of IDBI or BOB will call first?..or any other bank...?...as per previous years trend and all?Brand is nt going to affect much more of the banks only posting is going to affect as sooner or later banks are going to merge to meet basell III norms so at the time of giving preference candidates are only going to see where banks are posting them...
@maverick.ashu said:bhai if they can compete for only 27%(OBC) n 23%(SC/ST), then (general) gets 50% remaining...now tell me who gets more reservation? general or others. hence policies have been made that way...it has been made by legal experts dear....
@maverick.ashu said:where ru frm? canara is mostly in south india...central has gud repo in north india...the inside wrk culture of cbi is fully govt, i hve been there many times. excpt few bnks, all bnks hve comparable perks n allowances.

@maverick.ashu said:go for BOI...bettr choice thn central...yup if dont get BOI thn CBI is too a bettr choice..
dats y i ve choosen CBI ...
will it provide good facilities like leased housing all. and other allownce. in probation period ???
@maverick.ashu said:Bhai everybdy saying, IDBI may delay, but again evrybdy just predicting or copying it frm sum websites. Well BOB has got an appetite for high growth rate, hence my gut says that it wont delay much. moreover with Cash Benefit Transfer scheme round the corners, bnks hve got a lot of burden on their shoulders already, I hve no reasons to believe that they wud delay joining. but u can't say for sure, u can always take a guess n try ur luck..
