@brs1cob no. 29000 wil go into landlord`s account, but if u hav som sort of so called { jugaad } with the landlord, den he/she can return back the amount to you after the deduction of rent . nd 1 more thing to be notice,,,, salary revision is on the table nd that too with effect from november 2012,

Good but the rent is not 29000 for every place its just for metroes baki place per kum hoga depending on where ur posted ,bank inti bhi @##$$$$$$ nahi hai :)

This rent is fro Mumbai only. In delhi it is 26500, and other metros same or a little lower. But you won't be posted in Metros for sure..90 % chance is of a rural posting where it is just 8000. And work in SBI is so much that you won't even get any time to prepare or study for your MBA. And that Scale 2 promotion in 2 years is only for those who get 75 % or more in the confirmation test after 2 years of probation which is very very hard to get. And if you don't pass that test your service will be terminated with immediate effect. So plan accordingly.

will any bachelor stay in mumbai by occupying a flat costing 29K. i hope most of the ppl do some management and pay 8k as rent and rest get it credited in their account. incase rent is 8k, then will they pay HRA as 8k instead of 29k. obviously everyone will not have house rent 29k.

thanks dude. add says those who get 75%(do not know exact score) will be promoted to grade 2 (middle level management) and those who pass the test will get grade 1 (junior level management) and those who fail, service will be terminated.

You can Either avail HRA or Lease. In case of a lease max amount you can get is 29500, but if you live in a 20000 flat you will get that much only, credited to your landlords bank account. Now what you can do is make a jugaad with your landlord so that he can return the rest of the money to you.

that's what i am telling.
@brs1cob HRA is some fixed percentage of basic pay nd that too varies from place to place ,,,, and everyone who want a leased accomodation will get 29000,, now if u r single and wud share with 3-4 guys, den u can also do 1 thing { as my frnd in sbi is doing at mumbai} pay d whole amount of rent to landlord from urself and then take the individual share from ur partners.....
