hi
I am pusuing my MBA from ICFAI hyd. . Now coming on to your queries :
i dont know who has told you that icfai people are not getting their degrees but who so ever has told you has bluffed.
As per as further studies and future prospects are concerned let me tell you that ICFAI has a lot of scope for all, to put an example these days the placements are going on and for your information 280 students have been placed till now and yet around 160 companies have yet to come.
J P MORGAn has taken 22 students with an offer of 7.8 lacks.
I suppose these facts clear your doubt. Moreover you cant compare IBS with icfai national college both are different and both are having different status. ICFAI (IBS) is one of the best choice you can make.
2 weeks ago 300 were placed and after two weeks onle 280......hey wht happento rest 20 .......2 week ago only 150 comany confirmed and 100 still to come now after placement of 280 ..................160 company still to come...
buddy pls read previous reply by ur batchmate befor submitting any new reply..........
i have serious doubt on IBS guys abt their Reading Comprehension...........is there is no provision of RC in IBSAT
hi there...
i guess theres utter confusion about the IBS.....what i would like to say is that its you who are ultimately going to decide whether you have to apply for the MBA education in IBS....so guys dont misguide other people at this stage of time by spreading rumours and giving airs to it....its easy to sit outside and criticize any system but i would like to say that u need to be a part of system to realize what it is and how can it be changed...so better mark your words before speaking and realize that u r going to be a future manager and its better for u if you think before you speak dude.......
regarding IBS Hyderabad....i can say that its a wonderful place to be in....the seniors are getting placed and yes the figures quoted by other batchmates mite differ coz of variation in information...well its true JP morgan has been the best so far and the placements are going on very very well.......regarding ICFAI national colleges and other colleges i would like to say that keep it away from full time MBA centres(hyderabad and mumbai are best)...
still i wld like to tell all those tom,**** and harries....who r criticizing the college that no one is forcing u to join any college....its ultimately ur wish and desires....well IIM`s are the best and if u really wanna near to perfect life for urself then try hard and crack iim`s....u cant sit and criticize any college forthright before knowing the details...thats not what managers do man....and yes its going to be you people who wld nearly kill urself fighting for an MBA seat in these colleges later when u wont be able to bell the CAT....instead the CAT will gulp u up....
no offences to anyone from my side...just wanted to say that have fun and work hard...
Hi folks,
This thread debate is turning ugly, its almost 2 in the morning, and Im at my humorous best. Ill share some of my experiences I had at ICFAI- Gurgaon to lighten you folks up. Some jokes first
Dear Dean, will you have peacock for breakfast, or shall we put it off for lunch? My dear, thats just outrageous! How dare you propose such a presumptuous offer! Sorry Sir, I did not mean to offend your sensibilities, I just wanted to offer you something, er, er, exotic you kinda know. What, Mr. X do you think of yourself, is this an MBA institute or a zoo?
That, exactly, my dear friends, alas is exactly how I feel about ICFAI-Gurgaon. You see, the campus is located just off the Delhi-Haryana border at Dundahera. It originally belongs to IDPL, a central Govt. pharma concern, relating back to the 50s, when this area was typically a jungle, it somewhat continues even today to be so. The campus turns lush green during monsoons, a bit too much Id say, with tall grass. ICFAI has control only over the South-Western part, the vast remainder area stills wrests under IDPL control.. Anyway, some part of residential quarters of the ex-IDPL staff is now officially IBS hostel area. The buildings are old, not repaired, and wet, mind you, not just damp during rains. Not safe during earthquakes, Id say, I hope they are still standing after that temblor of very recent memory.
It was hot in summers, with extreme voltage fluctuations and blackouts (Those electricity folks havent been able to sort out this problem, I read it in the papers.) I had taken my own inverter, cost me 5000 bucks. The campus is in the old neglected part of Gurgaon, Id say rustic ambience, ha, ha. Very different from the Paris of IndiaThe new Gurgaon across the road, with DLF and the likes. Transport, well the old primordial autos, very unreliable, rickety, unless you have own convenience. Students could stay offcampus too as PG, your choice.
All was well till the monsoons set in. Well, I had visited campus before admission, senior students should have enlightened me more about this stay. Anyway, first few rains, and what do we have, dears, just too bad, 10 feet long snakes. I was the only one amongst common hostel boys to have individual accommodation, so more scary. The water filter was located in a central position in the hostel, one night one such slimy, slithery character Ive mentioned nearly went over a girls foot (She was filling water in a bottle). She could not sleep for a few nights. Another was caught napping in a girls bathroom, came in through a broken windowpane, had to be burned out with petrol. Water for bathing smelt fishy, unlike fresh Satluj water we Chandigarh folks are accustomed to. 25 students came down with food poisoning, fortunately recovered. Well, if you guys could only carry your cameras to campus. Foodie times, and you could sit amongst the monkeys feasting in the kitchen garbage thrown outside and click merrily with you cameras/camcorders, your choice of course. We had these simians amongst our breakfast tables one fine morning, again through an open window pane, these careless mess staff. Well, please do not carry your alarm clocks to your hostels, I know the schedule will be hectic, dont worry, at daybreak the peacocks Ive just mentioned will go meow, meow. Saves on your batteries, every penny counts you know.
I just had a brainwave, why not remove the IBS board at the entrance and put upICFAI Zoo? No dears, the Dean might get upset, youd know. As it is, he despises peacock for breakfast. Ha, ha!
Disclaimer:
No offence is meant to anybody/individual about this post. Diehard ICFAI-Gurgaon fans, also should be animal lovers too, are adviced to visit the campus to verify for their own satisfaction. All the best for those wanting to join this campus. This post is meant to share my own experience in a jestful manner, not to prove any point.

hey i think u r the worse victim of a so called great b-school, well dude i am agree with u as some of my good frnds are there for sake of their degree.........
dude the only think i can say one say the whole india will be the alumni of ICFAI, AMITY , RAI if the no. of admision will be like this only.............
i dont know y people undstand this thing taht qualtiy matters not the quantity.....
in a factory tens of thousand labour can work bt managing director are always single digit in no.................
now decision is urs guys wht is wrong and wht is right....
guys each one to his views...but believe me every person is at one part or da other of a grey cell chain...n not everyone gets a harvard or a wimwi tag arnd his neck...there 'll be ppl who would luv to join icfai for da sake of gyan..n others who'll join it for da sake of degree .... therefore plz dont make fun of any insti..icfai - gur..well i was there yesterday for zephyr..n must say it was quite a well managed event...i didnt find neething which reminded me of zoo there ... but then u being a student would be knowing more...but still it's good on one part to convey correct info...but sad when it turns to cheap satire ...try to avoid that
abt icfai - hyd ... jpmc it is..right ...which visited ur campus..so write da name fully not just jp morgan....ppl will remember da mud slinging dat happened last yr...n try avoiding quoting salary...coz everyone knows what diffrnt companies pays everywhere...u dont want to face unwarranted problems for dis... i know what they are actually paying all across da campuses n da kind of their job profiles...so why give out da info as n when it comes..ask ur media cell to bring out a consolidated press release after everyone gets placed.. othrwise u'll face da ire of posters who analyze placement related data..better dan da companies themselves ;)
ciao..
Two things.... Everyone's entitled to an opinion, however sick it may sound to others...And to that extent, this is as democratic a forum as it can get...No two thoughts abt that...
Having said that, hurting the sensibilities of another individual's *personal* (if you know what that means) decision is far less welcome. If you cannot get across a point without passing gross blanket I'm-on-a-pedestal kinda statements, then please refrain....
saychamps, I must admit, I am indeed flummoxxed by your fascination with all things icfai and amity !!
Cheers

Convocation for MBA 2005 is already over.
And, placements at Hyderabad are 70% completed till now( just within 2 months and 4 more months to go and another 60 companies are in the line) with an avg salry of 4.5Lac. What do u want for a fresher who is palnning to venture in to corporate world.
Don't bother about all those rumours. You are not appearing for some govt jobs. ICFAI is having very good reputaton in the industry. Its one of the better B-schools in the country.

Totally agree well said and it is a fact and beleive me ICFAI Hyderabad has a very good reputation in Corporate world.
Infosys was always approached by ICFAI Hyderabad every year but this year it was finding it difficult to get dates as many companies are coming in the coming weekends.
Unlike many B schools IcfaI placement takes 4-5 months but for last 3 years it has 100% placement.
