Most of us went for the second alternative: ie. infusing of funds from an investor. This is because it would mean keeping the company with current promoters (thus satisfying their sentiments), and the technology and best practices from the investor could possibly result in a turnaround of Div X and thus help the company stay afloat. Some said outsourcing of some parts of Div X (which are not inputs to Div Y) could also help in increasing utilization percentage.
Personally, I don't think it matters much which alternative you choose. It only matters how well you present your points in a friendly manner and allow others to have their say.

Finally done with GD and PI...Onething I want to share to u all is that this only my experience and it may not be same for all..I am in th 9.30 AM batch...CAsestudy was on granting a loan to a cement company..Just raise ur voice with a valid and unique point..U will be in to PI..Dont worry much..be straightforward..hmm..then coming to PI ..It was at 6.30 PM...So my tension gone..I was just waiting to finish...may be this is an advantage..So guys ..just now start ur questions..I have answer :-)

I have supported cement company because it was placed in 9 states and 9 decades of experience..I have raised a unique point that is recent Power grid failure in India...So Pearl cement has only one branch and cement company has 9 branches..HOpe u can elaborate with this..
Also U iwll have very very less time..Just try to read the whole as fast as possible and get atleast one strong point from ur side..that's it..u will be in

@[606327:leo_pard] first of all there is a passage on the current situation of cement industry..after that they have given two tables which has details on income sales and power comsumption and some other numbers of the two companies for the last four years..In PI as I am from IT industry they didn't ask any questions related to finance but they have asked some basics..like wat is a bank? 😃 Types of banks..Strictly I am telling U ..this is only my PI..so plz dont take this will be ur questions also.. and they asked me how can u use ur experience in banking ..I answered very cool ..as I said I am totally exhausted..all my preparation gone.. :-)..This is one gud experience to know about ur self more..That's wat I felt..ANyways If I am selected or not..I will take it +ve..

Following questions need to analyze.
1) Points need be considered for Load Approvals
2) Issue may be faced by Healthcare Company
3) Do u approve the loan
i will suggest be cool and give 2-3 important points and u will crack the GD.
