Currentely I have total 2.7 years of experience in IT industry.Shall i apply for this program for Octomber batch now.OR shall i wait for july14 to complete my 3 years and then apply.
Please suggest will they consider my application for oct14 batch if I apply now.

Anybody appearing for GD in Pune, can you confirm the venue, Earlier it was 'Nirmay' then yesterday I got a message that the venue has changed to 'Indira School of Business' then again the old mail came today from ICICI mentioning 'Nirmay' as the venue. I am a bit confused..

Guys, here I Go.......
GD was around 10 am.
As expected, we were given a Case study of 3 pages.
Topic-Some company whose founder is mr xyz, an Engineer having worked in US but, now his different interest has made him to start an agro based industry...Data for the revenue and profits were given of his company for year 2011-12. His company has a good track record, and now he wants to expand his business. He wants to expand it through hiring more farmers and want to cut down the intermediary cost... bla bla bla...many stuffs were given.
Now you r a bank manager to whom he has come looking for loan for his business. Wil u give him the loan ? yes/No why ?
Result for the GD was disclosed in 5 mins.
Total 6 of us got through.
My PI was at 5 pm. long wait .............
It went upto 20-25 mins. 3 panalists. 2 guys around age 55-60 years, and 1 HR.
General questions were asked, like :-
tell me about urself,
describe ur work profile in detail,
why interested in banking rather than going ahead in IT,
any magazines i read, newspapers, last 5 hot news in INDIA from economics and political field,
Why do u want to go in banking,
what is repo rate and invert repo rate,
Questions on hobbies... Even they asked me to tell the line of a song i love...(zindagi ne zindafi bhar gam die, and they started laughing 😉
few more here and there questions......

plz don't b silent in GD. Even if u don't understand anything, try to blabber something related.
Give everybody chnace to speak.
bcoz, in few groups, 3-4 were only selected.

Done with my GD and PI. from our GD batch, out of 10, whooping 6 got selected. The discussion was pretty good actually. 😃 I was the first to take up the PI for the day. So the entire process ended in an hour for me back to back. Panel of 3. My PI didnt go as smooth as I expected. A couple of disapprovals in between. And since I belong to Finance background in IT, they sked a few finance questions which I answered WITHOUT much confidence 😞 So dont have much expectations for selection. just sharing the info... All the best whoever is left to attend the process 😃
Anyone from bangalore center - In bangalore they didnt take much time in interviews just 5 mins average per person .
guys,sharing my experience:
1st round GD:
Topic was related to acquisition.Start multiplex company planning to acquire galaxy multiplex.
Provided some stats/data about start multiplex. Start multiplex approached to a bank to get the required fund.
As a manager of the bank you have to analyse the whole scenario and see the viability of this deal.
GD went well.Out of 10 people 5 got selected for next round.
2nd Round PI:
PI experience was just OK.They fired some ques like why banking why not IT industry,which vertical of bank you are comfy blah blah
It was quick ,finished in 10 mins as the intersection area of expertise b/w interviewer and interviewee was quite narrow 😉

Guys sharing my gd/pi experience which i had today at bangalore....
GD:-
As you all know a topic would be given of 2-3 pages. Sufficient time is provided to understand and read and also you need to write your points on a paper given them. You have to return the paper before the gd starts.
For GD, first thing dont panic. Does'nt matter who starts or who ends. What would matter is whether you make your presence felt in whatever manner you want and also very importantly what you speak does it make any sense or not. Just blabbering wont help.
For PI, i guess its friendly and easy going for almost everyone. What would make difference is your answere to the questions Why ICICI and Why MBA. They will keep coming back to you with such questions. So be prepared well for the above questions. Be ready to face questions on your resume also.

hi all, i am from IT background with exp of 5.5 years in finance domain..citibank GPP Product.. i went till PI..They asked me WHY MBA ??..I Answered quite well and panel was satisfied with it...but then they asked why ICICI NUMBA..They told 'U Will achieve not much with it, u will not get big business problems to work upon nor u wil understand much about economy as a whole..u will still be a frog in the well as this is a very specialised course specific to icici only..u will not learn what u can learn in other MBA colleges'..NO matter what i said they told only one thing-'we are not convinced for u doing ICICI MBA..U are doing very well in current job and watever u want to achieve through MBA IN FINANCE,U can achieve it through doing MBA from other MBA colleges DEN WHY ICICI ??..CAN SOMEBODY PLEASE EXPLAIN HOW TO ANSWER WHY ICICI MBA ONLY and NOT MBA from other colleges
is the gd/pi over on 9th and 10th? or are there batches scheduled after 10th as well?
