just coming after visiting a idbi patna branch.......i had words with manager of idbi,they came outside for refreshment then i asked few questions.they said following things..........
1.u hav to report office at 10 am but no timing for evening
(8-10 oclock) general office closing time.
2.if u dont have any other options then only join idbi..caz after it u will not get time for studies.(last option)
3.salery take home is 35k plus lease(8k in patna,12 k in mumbai)salery may varry from place to place caz of petrol in patna it is 120 ltr,in mumbai it is 140 ltr(everyone will get this amount either have vehicle or not. salery of idbi is under revision.
4.sales pressure is there but u have to be fool at the time of meeeting(if ur performance is worse then u will be transfered but will get extra bucs for that too(if u are a performer then also u will get nothing except appreciation.
5.promotion minimum will be dgm or gm,caz scale 3 in idbi is agm rank.
6.if u wanna to be a bandhua mazdur then join as a po...otherwise go somewhere else...ps its not my words its said by employees of idbi..
many are saying dat po's through Manipal will be posted in sales department n dat too door to door service..is dat true...
Those who are saying that IDBI Manipal is sales job they are fool. Many r there who can misguide u bt nvr listen them. These r all rumors.

Plz 1st of all understand the difference between Marketing & Sales. Both are different things, looks alike but are quite different.
What u will do in IDBI or in any PSBs is pure sales (cross selling), no marketing.
Yes u will have to do these kind of stuffs but just to gain some incentives apart from your salary (boost for u ). This is a good thing as , 35-40K in good cities will lead u for tough livelihood. But ur incentives will help u to have some savings or support ur family.
Remember that incentives (for sales or lead generation) are always extra to ur salary.
Yar one simple logic.. U see SBI credit card stall outside every mall or mart. The persons are POs.. Not at all. Those are person of sales to whom SBI has given contract to sell credit cards. They even don't know to speak english. So friends don't listen to any kind of rumors.

hello friends,just came after visiting idbi ,danapur(patna) branch.......i was there for 30 minutes.met with a guy who is doing internship here.he joined last year.i will like to share information shared by him.......
1.total cost of pgdbf is 3.95 lac(including service tax).
2.noone will fail during this course(being fail there is very tough,very easy course,even u will not write right answers u will passed.last yr not a single guy failed in this course(out of 500).
3.70 guys left idbi in between caz they got sbi,sidbi etc...
4.salery is 35k plus lease(salery under revision)petrol varries between 100-140 ltrs.
5.its highest paying psb after sbi in monetary terms.
6.infrastructure is awesome...i also felt the same..
7.idbi culture is of mixed type of corporate n psb.
8.good bank to join if u wanna make your career in banking.
9.if u dont have other option then definetly join idbi.
10.u will get hometown for your internship(atleast nearest).

Guys who got more than 115 or 120 in idbi manipal, i think most of them has qualified sbi po too. So what i feel those guys atleast 60-70% among themwill get selected and will go for that, some of them will not join also. So what i feel cutoff wont go as high as said by sm people like 62 or 63.
bahut mehnat kr rhe hai sbhi log information jugadne k liye,, sbhi milke facebook pe idbi me kam krne walo ko dhundho unko frnd request bhejo aur msg kro doubts leke,, 100 log krenge 2-4 to reply kr hi denge 😃 maine kal kiya hai msg 15-20 ko abhi tk koi reply nhi aya ap log bhi kro sb ke sb
kitne log h yhan jinka bob m 17 18 batch m ho gya h aur unhone idbi ka interview b dia h ....nd post marks too

I still dont understand why ppl,after securing a job,sits for another interview... For example... In my interview batch der wer 2-3 ppl who already got selected in BOB MANIPAL came for interview.. When I asked which one dey choose if selected in IDBI MANIPAL..dey said BOB MANIPAL OVER IDBI MANIPAL..and d simple reason BOB reimburse d amount.
Der are many students across India who are selected in BOB MANIPAL went for IDBI MANIPAL interviews.. In this era of fierce competition had they opted for not to attend the IDBI MANIPAL interview it would certainly created a path to banking industry for many..
PS : Don't say that der is a contingency list. If u r coming in d list u r definitely pushing someone out from dat contingency list too
Just a thought. Soemwhere i heard that they call for interview in different ratios. Like SC/ST in 1:5, thn OBC in 1:4 and general in 1:3. I think ds is also true
