Why is the group dead since so many days....
cmon guys someone please keep it alive..
i heard that.. the worst calls:seats ratio for the top institute was for iift this time 1:7.
I have heard only NMIMS (1:10 almost) going farther



i dint get all this statistics.. please explain if u ppl ! can.. ..is it means it is difficult 2 get thru IIFT.. chances are nil kya !..

the latest i've heard is that the results are going to be out after 20th March. Last time they said 25th... So, hopefully next time i call, the results would've been out..

statistics can be deceptive..but ya at first when u see the 1:7 ratio for IIFT things do look scary. 1:7 cos total no of seats at IIFT are 120 ( hope i've got d no right) and the no of pppl called for gd/pi were 850 odd.
i prefer looking at the positives ....if i can be amongst the top 850 amongst 30000 odd applicants ..then i can surely do well enuf to be in the top 120...in 850

AAH!! a wonderful opportunity to put in my 100th post..
ya, surely it does mean that the chances are quite slim.. they called around 840 and will give final admissions to less than 120... so 7:1 ratio and thats tough..
so many will be left disappointed.. its a pity that they dont give out the written scores else everything would've been in perspective..

its my first quote at PG. i have went thru the gd/pi of iIFT. it was fine.wud like to ask all my friends and seniors at IIFT that whether i should go for IIFT or a job(soft mnc,joining in july, 3lacs package). i shall be thankful 4 ur sincere advice.

the info i have about iift is that last time there were close to 240 final calls including(waiting list which got cleared)

so the exact ratio comes down to 1:3.5 what say.

if MDI calls thrice the required no.s to fill 120 i think with iims result still awaited IIFT should touch round about 300 calls this year.

hey rahul u better join .. ur job as u see ,it is a general trend in evry B-school 2 get their work-ex candidate s placed before the entire batch is placed ( lateral offers) and sumtimes salary quoted is also higher for them in general!..

crack CAT ,XL,IIFT ,FMS.. all after a cool 1 -1/2 yrs experience.. infcat what best u can do.. is to.. get enrolled into any weekend batch wid the coaching institiue ..it wil help 2 get intouch wid the familiarity and pattern of the test .. after all these tests r battle of attitude and that of nerves!...

hello rahul I feel that a job right now would be more suitable for you if you wish to stick more to IT co. however if you feel that job is just a formality of earning money I would say rather go n do MBA first

Even though all over india ( and globe) people placed thru laterals get higher sals but if you are good enough no one would really worry if u have workex or not (eg. the top 3 salary getters this yr{PPL picked by OLAM} were freshers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

moreover a job in a software firm is not that big value add in other cos coz most of the PPL with workex are coming up from software firms only!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
it depends on your goal in life so better go n take a decision accordingly

hello guys! the wait is killing me...IIFT is my last hope...didnt make it thru MDI.

i attended IIFT and MICA interviews...and am desperately hoping 2 make it 2 IIFT..
i thgt my GD/PI went well..but then i discoverd everybody did well and everybody is as tensed as i am!!!!

i have a job in a software MNC..planning 2 leave it if i get thru IIFT..

plz end the tension soon..b4 i go mad

Guys....I have heard that you can land up a job in Ministry of Commerece through IIFT.

How true is it? and if so, what is the job profile? Policy making etc or just yes minister leauge
