Wat all to send with with 20k dd for guys wl for iift k.. only dd??
I have converted nmims, the last date to claim refund of fees is 30th of May at NMIMS....My IIFT wait list no. is 152 for Kolkata...is there any chance I will convert it....and if so when will the final movement come...because I don't want to miss NMIMS in case I don't convert IIFT

Are the corporate organised b-school competitions, that have mentioned IIFT Delhi as an eligible participant, open to IIFT Kolkata as well?
Case in point being the Mahindra War Room challenge.

Hi People!
Need some help. I did my graduation in Fashion Designing from NIFT and have three years of rich experience under one of the country's best designer. I gave CAT this year for the first time without much prep and got 98.2%ile. Because of my poor acads got calls only from the new IIMs (Didn't fill any other college's form).
10th - 79%
12th - 67%
Grad. - 74%
Wanted some suggestions:
Is IIFT possibel at this score ?
What score should I target in IIFT'17 ?
Will it be okay if I leave my job and then prepare for CAT ?

I see a lot of misplaced,unresearched and biased opinions here on PG. Some polls are foolishly biased. Some discussions are at best rants. In the last 2 years I have personally researched a lot and find these to be the most authentic. Do not get into trap by the biased views. You may totally base your opinions on this.
(Especially beware of the posts which looks like a rant rather than a suggestion)

What to choose ? Heard from the sources that IIM Indore and NM are not able to place the whole batch due to huge batch size .May be going IMT G way.

I don't want to go to kolkata but delhi. For that i need to make draft of Rs 20,000 to be considered in merit list of delhi. My question is - Do I need to fill all those annexures provided for admission and do the full documentation while sending the draft?

The 20k that have to be paid for iift kolkata till 4 may, is there a third way apart from getting the full fee refund or getting selected ?
Guys please tell me that if i am waitlisted and before my iift k seat is confirmed, can i apply for refund of 20000 not? i meant 20000 will be refunded right. if seat is not confirmed.

Wow..people doubting IIFT K over NMIMS 😄 Good going. It is because of this mentality that every year the difference between D and K prevails. People take the same exam..go through the same GD PI process..and after everything it all boils down to "log kahte hain D aur K diff hain" Even after showing hard evidences GP,IMS,TIME etc and media comm continuosly saying no diff..still "I know there is much diff"..still "NMIMS,IIM I etc etc >IIFT K but not IIFT D". This difference will end that day when this mentality will end..but alas we are Indians.we love discrimating..be it religion wise,caste wise,gender wise,race wise,skin color wise,status wise and now college wise 👍

I don't understand the confusion surrounding IIFT Delhi v/s Kolkata debate.
IIFT Delhi came up around 1963, made a name for itself from scratch. The Kolkata campus came up in 2006 and it had the well established IIFT brand name to its advantage and used it quite well to achieve laurels at b-school competitions.
Come to think of it from a neutral perspective
Can everything at two distinct campuses functioning simultaneously be exactly the same?
Considering all else to be equal, will you as a recruiter, coming for campus placements, view two candidates: one from a 50 odd year old campus and the other from a 10 year old campus, through the exact same lens?
One doesn't need to be a rocket scientist to answer the above questions.
The difference in year of establishment (and hence, the age of campus), anonymous accusations of disparity between campuses, counter arguments dismissing 'anonymous' as someone who screwed up his own placement or someone trying to clear waitlist etc. will remain till the end of time.
What we as candidates can/ should do is weigh in all the factors ourselves, collect as much information as we can and take a leap of faith!
At the end of the day, we're the ones who are going to be responsible for our outcome and not the peer, senior, committee guys who gave us the 'insight'
Conducting polls for comparing colleges that are more or less in the same league and having people with an almost similar set of information as us participate in these polls doesn't really help in solving the confusion.
