Going by the fact that the buffer hasn't been exhausted and waitlists haven't moved YET, I'm starting to think that this year IIFT has selected students who understand IIFT's unique value proposition and are unwilling to let go of it!
Maybe it is careful scrutiny of applicants on IIFT's part or maybe they just got lucky! 😅
