I had silly thought. Generally, in GD, it is a good option that you define the keywords in the topic as in what they mean and then what they COULD mean in the context. then carry on the discussion with all possibilities. (at least what i was told).
Now, if the above holds good, is it applicable to essay also. Let me share the topic which led me to think about all this: (from last year's exp threads) Domestic Animals are Man's Best Friends
now in a GD i would have exaggerated on what friends are and how we define our friends to increase the scope of discussion but does that hold good in essay also (if the same topic comes in essay).
I hope i was able to put forward my doubt clearly.
Thanks.
fellow puys...your take on this?
It is generally advisable that you follow the general structure of an essay, i.e., introduction(1 para), body(2-3 para, differentiating various viewpoints) and conclusion(1 para, with your take on the issue).
Defining every keyword would not be a prudent measure, but if you think that it helps your case, do it in the intro para itself, and then start with your take on your definitions in the body.
Give examples, wherever you can.
Do not be politically inclined. :nono:
Hope this clarifies things.:)

mitulacc SaysI got the same question..please suggest..
If I were at your place, I would have told the truth. That I am not interested in reading.because I don't think in this world everyone is supposed to be having interest in reading. And it may be possible the interview panel could ask which one was your first book, when you started reading, which is the book you like the most . so in these questions you will be in dilemma what to say.....and obviously you can not say my first book is the one I read one month ago. So better think and I request other seniors to tell how to manage this situation well. ( shall we be honest or start reading books )
But as one of senior suggested you should read one or two books within 1.5 months. Then in that case I would suggest you to go for - The alchemist and rich dad, poor dad
The alchemist is a story of a shepherd you will not feel bore
and rich dad, poor dad is about managing your finances and easy to understand.
and at last best of luck.

Great..so the next step officially starts for you guys.
Any other interview dates related info with it ? What are the changes in the CV form as compared to the previous year's form? Please do share the changes if there are any!
Can any1 tell me where to go for GDPIs, my friend has enrolled for CL which he says is ok, but due to less no. of students, the sessions take place in haphazard manner, no consideration for wrking ppl,,,and u have to attend the sessions at their given time and place(which is only cp) acc to their schedule..which aint in sync wid mine (i hv 7-8 kinda job..n by no means can i cut it short more than once)
Whereas time ppl have many many more GDs than cl and flexibility of attending the session of your choice but its main center is rajouri garden, whr all this happens and it is too far. I think (not sure) that time has more ppl for GDPIs hence pracise will be better there.
Plz someone knowledgeable thrw an unbiased light on which should be chosen for delhi,,,and any info regarding iift specific sessions happening anywhr,,,heard cl had one recently,,
The CV form is exactly same!
