Hi Kindly evaluate my profile,

GMAT: yet to take

Work Ex:

- 4 years of working in the US with two large financial services companies, developing and validating credit and interest rate risk models

- 1 year of working in a large US telecom company developing mathematical models for network optimization

- 1.5 years of wokring as a Research Assistant for a US university (as a student) developing experimental physics and industrial control system (programing in C/C++)

Education:

- MS in Mathematical Finance from a US university with GPA 3.5

- XII - 85%

No significant extra curriculars except for some undergraduate paper presentations.

With chaos in the US around the minimum wages for H1B, and panic among the students, would it get tough to get admission in ISB? Are we expecting the applications to go up, and accenptance rates to go down?

Hello guys! I would be applying to ISB through EEO this year.

I have a one year work-ex as a social entrepreneur, however due to inefficiencies I will have to shut down. From the point of view of admissions, would it be beneficial if I have a corporate job experience?

I have the option of going for a job or of rebuilding my venture.

PS. GMAT Score: 720

With a score of 73% in 10th, 90% in 12th and 45% in graduation, plus M.Com in distance, along with 3.5 years in a Reinsurance Company, is it unrealistic to dream about ISB? How should I enhance my profile (any certifications or courses) to increase my chances of making it?

I have got an admit to XLRI this year. My target is to get into MBB consulting post MBA. How good is my profile for ISB? And is ISB better than XL?

Also I’ll be continuing with my family business till the interview round so will that be accounted in total work-ex or a job is a must? And when exactly will the classes commence for this years final admits, will we have sufficient time to complete those required 20 months?
