please help me as i have already cleared the puzzle test and then technical and then hr round for lateral entry now they shortlisted my department that is IMS . Now they told me that departemt will call me for next round but its three week now and have not recived any call.
Is it nromal. Will they call me for sure? please throw light on this scenario

i had my test on 9th interview on 10th ... test was good interview was ok .... I have a 58.6 percentage in my engg degree ... still got a call for the test ... I am 2004 passout ... right now i am well versed with java and then have some freelanced projects in hand and some more coming my way ... also I am into stock amrket and got indepth knowledge about it and bout infy stocks which i showed in my interview ... whatever i have done for the past one year i have done it independantly (ie lil help from parents ...financial ) ... test i think i have scored well i am sure about 35 out of 50 i have attempted 9/10 ... very sure about 8 atleast .... interview was ok they asked me about my achievements .. (one natinal level gold medal for a paper presentation in my 11th standard ) and my engg projects also my freelanced projects they also asked me lot of things bout stock market which i answered to their satisfaction ...which they appreciated ... I have heard bout lot of people getting into infy with below 60 percentage ...just wanted to know what are my chances of getting the call letter

any body having any idea about the telephonic round they are taking for the expreineced one after shorlistig therie departmet>?As they told me that they are considerig me for the IMS and now they will call me for last round.
i have an infosys interview in a few days.what kind of answer should i give for a question like talk abt yourself?what should the structure be?can somebody enlighten me on the type of questions asked and the pitfall to avoid.thnx a lot.plz help soon
@wolverine hi congrats for getting the call if u are entering as a fresher ... the interview will be more of HR kinds .... even if u have done PhD in robotics they wont be bothered ... just prepare some basic questions ....
tell me bout urself .... just sstart off with ur birth place n assosciate some strengths wit that like ... i told them my dad was in banking so used to change places every three years .... so adaptability is one of my strength n so on....
then some situational questions like u r in flight ......its gonna crash ....one parachute ... u n ur friend are there whom will u save first ... here whatever ur answer is just support it thru out ... they just see how fickle minded u are .... they will ask u ..... are u very sure bout ur answer ... keep saying yes ... then some puzzles ... and ur hobbies ... they are gonna ask u in nout bout whatever is written on ur resume ... just research about ur hobbies n all that ...

The telephonic interview is not very tough. I myself have conducted the telephonic interview for IMS laterals. I was given no guidelines. I just asked questions on the fly and tried to figure out if the candidates had decent knowledge of the technology they were strong in. Also questions will not probe too deeply into technical fundamentals as the interviewee would be a person who has been workingt for some time and been away from books for long. So I guess if one is strong in his areas of expertise and answers with confidence it is sufficient.
By the way, IMS is Infrastructure Management services. So they profile they look for is not someobody who is majorly into coding. Job nature will be more of installing sytems and giving production support. Good communication skills will also come in handy for this job.

no need to worry...they will be providing the accomodation for 1 week and after that u have places like Madhapur or Lingampally which are about 1/2 hr from infy. Madhapur is a bit costlier , while Lingampally is cheaper. many ppl donot know abt Lingampally as it is not that popular for residing among s/w engineers.
so look which one fits in ur criteria and njoy as hyd is a gr8 place to be in !!!!

no diff between mysore and hyd and theres no criteria for sending ppl to mysore for training............ so dont worry abt that at all........... go to hyd, njoy and njoy...

Now one more thing i did the technical round and then Hr interview in sept and then they told me that you will get call from the IMS dept but now its going to be oct end but havenot receive any call from them . IS it normal that they are taking too much time?
Also have not receive any email from the infosys. Some body told me that they send us the email even if they rejected us but no email.

AFAIk, ppl are divided into Comuter Science Background and Non-CSB groups. The CS background folks will have their training together, and same holds good with non-CS folks.
Not getting a call letter in 3 weeks in no way means that one is not selected. There is absolutely no criterion by which call letters are issued. So, just wait and see. 😃
