And yes!! Issues will b diff if u r thinking nt only bout the joining dates etc, but also bout comparing the companies n related issues...

hi just another query!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Today at syntel we were told that our domain will be mainframes and given training on that for the remaining period. I have heard from some that mainframes is the most secure and safe technology, also I have appeared for cet and have my gd/pi on 4th june,my joinin date for infy is 23rd may at manglore,so I have to come back again just for gd/pi(IS THAT FEASIBLE), ofcourse my 1st priority is MBA from JB or SYDENHUM,otherwise am trying next year.So please help me out to decide as what should I do JOin infy or remain with Syntel. PLease help I am sooooooooo confused
Look shiv, at this stage of u'r career it really doesnt make any difference whether u work in Syntel or Infy.. So dont rack u'r brains too much abt this.. Infy Mangalore is a nice place. It's a small DC and u will get to meet lots of good people.. I am not really sure abt the quality of projects there(i.e. big projects) but it wont be a bad place !!! And even Infy has 1 year bond ... So it doesnt really make a big difference..

since now we know we are going to join infy in a month or so...lest ask our seniors who gone thru the interesting training period nt about the training but how did they manage their budget in such a small sal package...all the seniors can post their replies...those who stayed at luxurious mysore DC, or else where. plz suggest us how to keep a track of our thin salary & keep a check before its gone!! Personally i dont think so this kind of salary (for freshers like us) needs a budget but still want to ask - where nt to indulge our money in to avoid terrible situations (financially i mean)... So infy junta...start wid ur theories on this topic...

My brother who has an MBA from IISC had a placement offer from Infy. He was offered the post of Associate Consultant in the Enterprise Solutions Dept. He is a BE Mech with no work ex. I dont think Infy insists on work ex while recruiting MBA's coz it does recruit freshers from many colleges. So u can rest assured abt the experience part. Infy only looks for a good college brand, so the best bet is to get in through campus placements.
I am not very sure as to how MBA's are recruited other than through campus placements in Infy. Maybe the other Infy junta can throw some light on this.

Whether u can manage or not depends solely on u. I have seen ppl save quite a lot of money, at the same time there are some who would get an additional 5K from their parents every month and still complain abt being broke at the end of the month. Of course there were some who would save 90% of their sal......like me............I was a localite u see
Tip to save money in Infy Mysore :- Spend more time in the campus. That way u wont splurge on
:) hi dude, u r right !! mangalore is not the training center.... mysore is the training center actually !! but no worries, as every development center has its own Education and Research department and those ppl are ones who give training !!! so donot worry !!! 😃

When I joined as a fresher in Infy my gross was 17.8K (I had got in through the campus recruitment thats why it was higher than the pay given to guys who got in thru walk ins) and the take home was around 13K. That shud give u an idea of the take home sals. Unless ur gross crosses 21K there is no way u can get take home of more than 15K.

dont remember in particular the actual figures!! it has been a long time since we had a session in INFY regarding this!!but as arough estimate,they take into account the salary paid to you by that time,the amount of trng cost incurred,the time for which you have made use of company's resources(like working hands on)etc....so lots of stuff to be taken care of...which may go as much as 50K-1 lac...but the best thing is that I havnt heard of anyone paying the sum in my personal experience...even after leaving the co just after the trng... so nothing to b concerned about...
