- Delivery of a report covering market research, analysis, and trends that addresses the oil & gas market as well as in depth analysis of targeted companies.
- Pay will be competitive.
Job Description
- Think, Analyze, Trade, and Write.
- Gather information and data.
- Provide a data driven analysis and critical thinking.
- Provide data driven analysis on energy markets, energy funds, energy index and specific energy companies with all references.
- Build a trading strategy of publically traded companies for a hedge fund.
- Run a virtual portfolio with backtesting, and risk analysis.
- Structure all the analysis and the trading strategy in a report.
- Pursue any other activities or adhoc analysis.
Preferred Certification
- Have passed the CFA Level I, II, and III examinations or is exceptionally motivated.
Preferred Education
- Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Economics or Finance for a top school.
- Student or Graduate of a Post Graduate Degree in Business for a top school.
Preferred Knowledge:
- Must understand the Oil & Gas Market: Upstream, Midstream, Downstream, and Services.
- Must understand the Economics of the Oil & Gas Market: Supply, Demand, and Pricing.
- Must understand the fundamentals of Energy Trading and Trading Houses.
- Must understand Oil & Gas companies: the seven sisters and the ‚ŹĹ“new seven sisters ‚Ź?.
- Familiar with energy data on Oil & Gas and other energy sources.
Skills
- Must be highly independent. There will be no hand holding.
- Very good research, quantitative and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and analytical skills, with a strong team and client-focused orientation.

Additional Requirements
- Must bring your own laptop computer with all relevant software to be able to work independently in the office.
