hi agrita this is nikhil well tell u something the iift paper is nt tough but yes its lengthy you need to be quick while attempting the quest n make every ques u do count becoz even if u cannot manage to clear the cut off u can it on the basis of total marks. it was around 24 at our time in2009. it has a gen knowldg section related to foreign trading do prepare esp. 4 dat its imp. ok bye

I have an almost 40 months of work ex.
3.2 years prior to my MBA and 7 odd months after that.
Well what I am here for would be pretty straight forward,I am confused about what next after MBA Fin. I want to pursue FRM bt the fees seem high so I want to be sure of what I am getting maself into.
I have a stressful job which goes on for 12 to 14 hours daily...Quitting and studying is impossible due to some financial commitments..
The help that I require is
a)Is FRM a right choice after MBA?
b)Is it doable with the strenous job that I am currently into?
Besides this I am ofcourse here to make some intelligent frenz who will help me grow in terms of knowledge.

Once i thought to do GMAT and search for the blog for discussions i saw this pagalguy frequently. Hope this is help me out .
I am resident of Pune. work exp.. 1.5yrs . Btech and Mtech in electrical as main stream. Got 84% in Xth. 92% in XIIth , 74% in Btech, 7.6*CGPA in Mtech.
Thought of doing GMAT.can any one suggest me how to start as none of my fnds are familiar with the same. I need the details like how to prepare, coaching centers.
With my work timings i can spare time only after 8 pm and weekends only.

Well.. this is my first post, so not really sure how to go about it !
Hence, will simply stick to the structure prescribed.
Education and Work Ex Background:
Have completed my graduation in Management Studies from St. Xavier's College, VT and have about 1 and a half yrs. of work-experience. ... Was lucky to get placed on campus while the global economic crises was just beginning to set in. :cheerio:
Current Occupation:
Have been working with Ernst & Young as Business Analyst right after graduation .. till date.
Work pressures and timings are horrible but I don't think I've learnt as much in college as I have in EY. It's a great place to work... the people are even better !!! :)
Why on PG?
Umm.. not really sure... could be to make some "intelligent" friends, to be motivated by interacting with some superior beings, to probably verify the fact that .. am I the only one who thinks "different" and am I the only one who's caught in the middle of a dilemma of whether to do an MBA or pursue my creative instincts keeping in mind future security and a stable life ahead and last but not the least .. to ensure that my interest level in cracking CAT '09 increases by atleast 0.001 %.

I think I've pretty much explained everything under the above heading !
Aim for next one year?
It's not something carved on rock for me.. it's all subject to change...
I guess.. it would be to give some more competitive exams (just for the thrill of it.. i like gauging where I stand among other bright minds), take up photography a little more seriously and find a job that does not add any restriction on my expression of creativity, take to designing, photo editing etc... would like to do something independently .. free lance or something .. maybe !
Hope I'll meet some really helpful people here and looking forward to a life changing experience !

So, here's my background..
I completed my B.E in Electronics & Communication from The National Institute Of Engg, Mysore. 2008 Passout.. Currently working in IT industry.. It's been about 14 months of journey.. Hectic life!

I am an MBA from a top-US Business School. I was a computer engineer before and struggled a lot to differentiate myself from other applicants during my MBA application process. Having secured admission in first attempt at various top schools and having completed my MBA, I realize that after all, writing MBA essays was not so difficult!
Yet many applicants have to wrestle with lot of questions with every single application. However, it is very interesting to note that by learning just a few basic principles and techniques, you can dramatically boost your chances of admission.
I have noticed that while free advice is abundant, how to put that advice into practice is almost always missing. I have helped numerous applicants in the last few years in understanding the basics and easily applying them to their applications, with excellent results.
