I have 5 years of experience in Banking and Finance with good brands (engineer). Took cat 3 yrs back. just missed the calls on the D day. took GMAT (without preperation), got 720. I am looking for MBA options in India which are not very expensive and have decent placement records for people with good experience and brands. For instance, SP Jain 1 year programme. For one, I find ISB way too expensive!
additionally, I like music, I am a singer and a cricket buff.

I m from mumbai working in a very well known IBank but in IT division.I completed my 2 years of work recently.
I did my BTech in computers from the top collge in mumbai university with CGPA of 7.2.
I had participated in a lot of events as organiser during my collge days and currently also working as a volunteer for an NGO.
I had appeared for CAT 07 n 08. CAT 07 i had joined IMS but scored meagre 75 percentile :-(. But CAT 08, I dint join any insititute n also din prepare anything due to lack of time but managed to score 96.43 percentile with above 94 percentile in all 3 sections. I wasnt confident of scoring, hence hadnt applied to any of collges :(
I m mainly lookin for career change.(Sick of IT, its not my forte :().However my company pays me impressive package ie more than 3 times what average IT companies pay. Thats why i m confused. If i join an avergae college, i stand to lose my 2 yrs salary + the hikes and might not get good package later. Besides currently due to my project, i get some exposure about equities business on wall street.Thats y i plan to do my MBA at a top college India or abroad and want to join by 2011. I gave my FRM level 1 in May 2010 and have done beginners course with NCFM. I dont wish to take CAT however i plan to take GMAT. But i dont know any A-Z of GMAT :(. So please guide me.
I am looking for following things:
1. Info on GMAT exam as in the sections as per new pattern
2. Books (hard copy n soft ) i need to prepare.
3. Lists of websites where i will get softcopies.
4. How to prepare each section and how much time i need to put in.
5. Based on my profile, Good colleges abroad and in India and their fees. Also how to finance my MBA there.
6. How to enhance my profile more eg learning a foriegn language or anything.
Also, do i need to join any classes? Which ones r the good ones in Mumbai.
