Sometime back there was a discussion on IRMA making its placement policies stricter by inviting selected organisations, which matched IRMA's ideologies, for the recruitment process effectively shutting doors on e-chaupal, ICICI etc. Is there any progress on the issue seniors?

So friends Irma Exam over . I performed upto my potential . Hoping for a score of around 100 . 25 in GK . I have added a poll as asked by Pratheep .
Now i think we should start preparing for interview .

Guyz probably wrong time to initiate this placement discussion....but since u ppl are interested..I will also contribute.....first ppl just stating the facts, IRMA is in transformation mode and it may result in better or worse....but as far as placements are concerned...keep ur finger crossed bcoz as ashish has said, nothing is sure....so if u r joining IRMA be prepared for everything.....and pls listen to the pre-interview presentation, bcz thts where u can get some insight wat the placement policy is going to be the in future.
But all said and done, it's still the best institute in its field...and infrastructure wise second to none....so its all ur choice..

pankaj is right in sayin..placement policy will defiitely undergo a change for ur batch..the turn it will take can't be sensed right now.....
my take abt cut offs i had already mentioned....in range of 85 to 90...with gk hovering arnd 12-13.....
one thing is tht every body shud put his/her attempts in the poll tht is only 4 gk..revise it for total mr thread moderator...
for XIMB..if u sure of scorin above 75...do filll up the form...
besties 4 ur other exams..n plz also quote abt the general attempt pattern of quest. which u people might hav cum across while talkin 2 other at ur respective centres.....

Can anyone tell me wat could be d cutoff's for IRMA i attempted something b/w 155-160 questions all from eng and Lr and sometihng like 30 from qa and b/w 35-40 in gk....PLs tell dat whether dey have any sectionals...?
The overall cutoff will be in the range of 85-95 marks with 25-30% of every section as cut-off marks.
I m attaching herewith analysis of IRMA exam from TIME,CL and CF.
85 to 90 is overall cutoff according to them.

Hi guys sorri for posting in so late.Was a little busy yesterday.Looks a lot of people rocked yesterday cngts to pratheep , eperit and all the other guys who rocked.I attempted around 130-135 qs overall with pretty good accuracy.Attemted around 20-23 qs in GK.so that will play a major part in my selection.waiting for the results.Thanks a lot to all the seniors for their help.It was of immense help.
The paper was quite easy but alot of chances of goofing up in the GK section. I'm sure most of the people must have managed to crack the paper.
My attempts were arond 140.. :neutral:but could hardly manage a conservative 25 questions in GK and quant.. whereas in the other sections managed to attempt most of the qs. (Attempted all the qs DI and Eng..)
Looking forward atleast for a GDPI call so can get an opportunity to visit IRMA and AMUL.

reasoning - 33 or 35 dnt rembr xactly wid 4 or 5 wrong
quant n di - 18 vry less though (sure of 15 correct)

i think m gonna miss cut off 4 quant n di and gk section
cn u tell me shd i fill ximb form n do i ve ne chance in irma?

1. i attemted arnd 150 qstns of which 18-20 qstns were frm gk..out of the remaining qstns i m sure of an accuracy of 90% bt in ngk i have my doubts...bt i guess it shd be arnd 14-15 qstns rt....

As expected paper was easy and the gk q were direct this year.

Quants- 43

Total- 136
My accuracy is around 85-90% (Not sure in GK section minimum 12-15 will be correct)
Wht r my chances?
Guys we do not have any accurate info as far as cut-off's and XIMB's selection method. what i would say is a guy who has done reasonably good in all the sections and total no.of attempts close to 130 with 85% accuracy should get a call from IRMA. Do not worry much. And do fill up the form for XIMB even if u r sure of getting a call from IRMA. Any other queries just post in. We r ready to help u guys. C ya. bye.

hi thanx pankaj u have clarified allmost all my doubts regarding cutoffs now i have all ready seen ur replies regarding placements but if u can please tell that what was d average ctc for d earlier batches and also the highest placements....PLEASE....
just to bring one more thing on record:
all the people with workex do not hold any advantage as far as it is concerned with getting a gd/pi call but yes in the second round they do have a clear margin over the freshers the same is truly reflected in PRM 27 batch where around 70 of the 106 participants have workex.
the soul criteria for a call will be ur clearing the cutoffs.

shikha u r on a low foot as far as quant is concerned..gk is ok..u wud b able to make it....my take abt quant is 18-20.....lets c....
just fill up XIMB..u wud b gettiin a call frm ther..
