No Pal I dont have any of the IRMA papers
U can get model papers from Coaching Institutes like Time,IMS,CL,CF
Moreover U can visit their sites to have complete anaysis of papers of last 3 years.
PT gives comprehensive analysis
U will be able to c some actual Qs too

The application form and prospectus,If u want to take it from IRMA(Hard copy) U will have to send DD for Rs.100 in favour of "Institute of Rural management" payable at Anand.They will send U the form and prospectus,U will have to fill it and send it back with DD for Rs.500.

U can download the application form from www.irma.ac.in or even u can apply online,then there is no need to pay Rs.100,But when u send the filled in application form U will have to send DD for Rs.500.

Hope I have clarified ur doubt.

i also want to know tht frm whr can v get all the editions of yojana n kurukshetra...? m frm delhi....only few editions r available here...

This is Aravind a PRM participant in IRMA. nice to see so much activity in the thread. i can see that already 3 of my batchmates sreejith, aashish and deepak have started answering ur queries. i would take the opportunity to clear these doubts.

1. Please tell us how many people got good salaries around 5 lpa i mean. How many got lesser than that?

A) mostly everyone who is concerned about his financial position and wants a job with a handsome package gets a job of 5lakh or more.

2. What is the average salary around?

A) Last year average salary was 5 lakhs (on hand). This was relatively lower when compared to other TOP B-schools bcoz IRMA is a institution with a mission and some of the students here take up the most challenging jobs in the development sector at the least pay package somewhere around 10k per month but that is all dependent on your interest.

3. Can people go for UN related organisations directly from IRMA?

A) yeah you can go to UN related agencies like UNDP directly from IRMA but mostly ppl do not join them because the post which UNDP offers to IRMA grad's is below the level which we deserve so ppl first work in other organisations and then join UNDP in the higher cadre. i hope this is enough for this question.

4. What about government development agencies?

A) yeah you can join any organisation concerned with development. All the govt.bodies, NGO's and other organisations involved in upliftment of the rural poor come to IRMA for campus placements. As far as i know last year they had 322 offers for 88 students. so you need not worry about placements.

5. What about Agri-Business Industries?

A) You can join any agro-based industry also. a lot of organisations from that industry come from the agro related industries.

Guys my final advice to you is that if u are a person interested in bringing difference to atleast one person's life then IRMA is the place u must be. The course is same as the other b-schools but we r shown everything from the rural perspective. And also the field trip's we have are the important things in the curriculum of IRMA. guys do not worry about the placements and start preparing for the exam. keep the enthu going. hoping to c u soon in IRMA. All the best to all of you and keep posting your queries. Our batch is leaving for our fieldwork in october so i guess we would be active till that time. i was not able to be active till now because of the work load we have here. for preparation i guess u shud go thru the newspaper daily. Read the magazines as discussed earlier in the thread. do not panic or be worried too much. it is not that hard. I don't think u need to read so much what is written in the articles published in this thread. be chill and don worry looking at those articles. I dont feel i read anything of that sort even before coming to GD/PI. In PI the most important question is why IRMA? if u answer that satisfactorily that's it. U r in. so stay put and be calm. keep rocking.

hey buddy,
sorry i did not c ur question. the adeal number of attempts well i am not sure about that. i guess i attempted around 130-140 questions with 85% accuracy i guess. but what i hear is that the cutoff is around 90+marks. the approach to paper would be to score as much as u can in quant and verbal as they are the most easy sections. After that in the issues of social concern if u r a person connected with the society u will be able to answer atleast half of the questions. Rest is ok. don worry about the Issues of social concern that wud be very easy if u read the daily paper and keep on updated with what is effecting rural india. that's it.

Hey that is the misconception with which ppl try for IRMA. do not worry too much about the GK section. There wud be tough questions but very easy questions also. try attempting only those which u know. if u answer atleast half of the questions in that section. That should do. and guys plz stop worrying reading the articles which were posted earlier in the thread. @Scorpio i appreciate ur attempt but i think that deep a knowledge is not required. even if u r interested in reading those try to learn basics about those topics. these would help mostly during ur PI rather than the written test.

Today was the day when our batch's 1st term officially ended. All of my batchmates have started leaving the campus. we all now have 2 weeks vacation after that our fieldwork starts... So guys after those 2 weeks it may become difficult for us to reply to ur queries as we wud be in some village. So post ur queries asap. And after that 2 weeks also we will try to clear ur doubts as much as possible. U keep on rocking and yeah dude IRMAN'S ROCK.
