Hello All,

As we are thru with 80% admissions of ISB class 2013... All the dingers, newbies its time to start afresh with your GMAT preps.. and Goal of ISB- class 2014.
Lets make this thread as structural as possible .. starting with all the posts regarding GMAT as of now.. and gradually shifting to posts on R1 applications subsequently as the dates near..

Scored 570 in Veritas online GMAT test..... All, post with the current GMAT preparations and how everybody is fairing in the preparations

I am also a prospective applicant for ISB 2014.
The only problem is that ; being from Univ of Pune, and a bad luck in internal marks at college, I have a dismal under grad score of 55%.
Do you know of anyone who, despite average undergrad GPA, managed to sneak into ISB ?
I took GMAT on 11th Jan 2012 and scored 670.
I am not sure if thats enough or should I take it again.
What do you think puys ?
Cheers. Rahul

Rahul 670 is aint bad... but for ISB its that you need a strong work profile to support that. as 90% guys applying for ISB are above 700 in GMAT:wow::cheerio:... and have a strong profile... That is My Call.. what say other puys??

Came across this SC...Puys shoot the answers for this

No point having multiple threads for the same topic. Mods, please merge the two threads.

hey guys... i have been on PG for quite a while now soaking in plethora of knowledge abt B Schools. I wish to apply to ISB this year. I wanted some guidance on how much should I look at for a good GMAT score for getting through to ISB or at least getting a call etc. Here are my details :-
Class X - 88%
Class XII - 76%
BE Civil - 66.1% 1st Class
Total yrs of exp - 9.0

Currently working in Presales Consulting for a MNC in Delhi, profile being Manager - Solution Architect. I have all-in-all been into presales engagement & business analysis, both for Products & IT Services.

I have my GMAT date booked in April 2012. This will be my 1st attempt as well. So should I look at around 670-700?

Need your guidance please....

Saty

Sati, your projected score range is apt as per your diverse job profile. but lemme mind you there will be too many 700 barrier brokers in the pipeline

I am worried about the GMAT. What score would suffice for such a profile?

@[31510:atul1281] Hi..first of all I'm not a coach or consultant who can evaluate anybody's profile, I'm just a helper out here and other thing is evaluating someone profile will not be fair neither it will be easy, cos top B-schools not only consider the no: of years but also the quality of work and your learning from it also. Your learning and skills will be a real parameter to evaluate your profile, which you can do better than anyone else..

ISB consider agv of 4 yr not just that of final year.
Regarding the score, the avg score for ISB lies between 700-720, and any score between this will be safe according to me.

@[602197:ssdd]Hi..you have a profile which is scattered in various dimensions, which makes you jack of al trades , but again everything depends upon ur learning and skills and not only on the no: of years. As a helper I can't find anything negative in your profile, it is decent and diverse. Sticking to minimum 700+ would be a safe choice.. atb
