i think isb has no fixed pattern as far as invites are concerned. they randomly invite successful candidates as and when they see our application. if you see the pattern of work ex, gmat, city...no fixed pattern can be established

There has to be a certain pattern which is difficult for us to decipher. I know it's random at first glance but there has to be a logic behind it. I tried to understand the trend, but to no success.
As others have said, let's not wreck our brains in understanding the pattern and divert our attention to interview preparation and consider ourselves lucky to have more days to prepare for the interview.
All the best !!!yes, i guess you are right. i am not saying they are unsystematic, just that they have some pattern. so we shouldnt get upset thinking interview calls for some specific city are over, i think we should patiently wait till nov

@Shoan said:my 2 cents - i think the interviews are scheduled based on the sector a particular candidate belongs to or is planning to change to.. based on this, the panel members are decided.. they have to belong to a similar sector as the candidate - this would (to some extent) result in a healthier interview.. hence, based on the availability of the panel members they must be scheduling interviews.. i sort of relate to this theory because when i interviewed with them last time, all the other candidates came from varying & off-beat fields.. so..
Hi All, One query about ISB recos. I am taking GMAT on 7th Nov. and then i'll apply for round 2. Is it possible to submit the evaluator names before submitting the app.? so that they can get emails well in advance before the 30th deadline and get enough time to fill the online application. Please advise.
Generally evaluators are senior professionals .. and they get irritated if hurried. I suggest you submit their details to ISB as soon as possible, of course, only if you have decided who your evaluators are going to be. You can also give your evaluators a copy of the questions that they will have to answer, just so that they can start thinking on those lines.
Your job ends when you submit your evaluator details to ISB. However, be sure to keep reminding them once in a while, so that they complete your evaluation by 30 Nov 2012.
Best of luck! :)
another question!! how beneficial is ISB's priority counselling? does one get a clear idea about what should be put into the essays thr' this interaction? is it helpful to assess your own candidature?
One quick ques pls. I have seen a lot of ppl talk abt their class X scores. But i was not asked my high school grades. So how come we are discussing that ?? !! or have I missed something ??
For all those who were wondering about the application number getting changed, here is the reply I got from ISB:
@Sandbrick said:That sounds plausible. But, i was wondering what's the harm in letting candidates know that they are not shortlisted as and when an interview shortlist decision is made any candidate. It would shorten the wait for many.
