Is'nt the interview calls for re-applicants really low..
Is it always like this for ISB or is it a new trend for ISB? I got the impression from the ISB infosessions that they were re-applicant friendly@
Last time I got a call when I had almost lost hope that I would get one because it was my first time and now, I am unable to keep my mind away from expecting one but still none so far. One of my best friends keeps saying ..... " Samay se pehle aur Kismat se zyada kabhi kisi ko kuch nahi milta !".....Lets just pray guys that Destiny knocks at our doorstep too (like all the guys who have/would be getting i/v calls) and at the same time, the most ironical thing is we need to be prepared for it .... but ofcourse, its only the Adcom who can gauge it !!!

Yes buddy, hoping for the same... Not only the IV window this year is shorter than the last time, but also many things seem to have been happening differently, so lets just wait, prepare and keep ourselves ready.. Also if you are from HYD, there are lot of days still to go (till Nov 8), a big reason to stay hopeful and optimistic.... Cheers!

Everything has become all the more unpredictable this year I believe...! I am quite certain that ISB is indeed a re-applicant friendly school, as there were plenty of calls for re-applicants last year around the same time.... and yes, majority were called in the last phase - with just a week to go before the close of IV window... So I guess all re-app folks (like myself) can still wait till the end of this month...

Sure, thank you. Last year I had an IV question to analyze market for a new entrant in education sector for a product keeping in mind the pricing by other competitors. I had tried to analyze and work towards a solution but they were not convinced by the numbers while assuming few things (like number of primary school students in Tier-II & Tier III cities of India). I don't think that could be the only reason I got a reject, but certainly need to understand how to fight back and stay on track if anything we receive unexpected reactions post our analysis/solution. Anyways thanks for the book name, will find out and refer....!

I read somewhere that interviewed applicants to accepted applicants ratio was 5:1. Now let's say they will accept 300 students in the first round, this means they will have to call 1500 applicants for interviews.
When I gave my interview on 14th Oct, I didn't see more than 30 applicants in the whole day.Considering they are calling applicants only on the weekends (and lesser on weekdays),this just doesn't fit. Am I missing something here?
That's a very old ratio when there were around 400 odd seats ..my guess is should be now 2.5:1 assuming 2000 odd applications for R1.. and 800 odd would be called

Everything is speculation... Nothing is clear, I guess ur better off, you atleast had the interview call.... most of us are still waiting :(
