wonder how ISB will declare results for all confirmed admits by Nov 15th if interviews are going this slow?
@fAUXPASS well i was able to tell a different story in each.. but some overlap is inevitable n probably necessary to a certain extent to create a sense of continuity & credibility..the reapplicant essay basically asks 'how can u say u have become a better candidate this time'..
@Shoan
@fAUXPASS i agree with Shoan ... but there is one crucial difference. From the last time you applied to this time, what specific improvements have come in your profile. Now here there are 2 very imp things to keep in mind. 1) Focus more on the improvements on the feedback you received for not making to ISB 2) It should not look that these improvements you have brought on just to get to ISB, but should be on a general basis.

yup.. forgot to mention that! my bad..

@fAUXPASS
There's a difference in essay 1 and re-applicant essay.
In essay 1 you are making a case to distinguish yourself against the other applicants who have applied to ISB- you would talk about your key distinguishing factors here, and support them with strong examples.
In the re-applicant essay, you would compare yourself since your last application and pinpoint how you have become a stronger applicant. Some ways to do that are:
1. talk about the areas where you improved, as per ISB's feedback to you. This could be related to GMAT score/ clarity of career goals/ career progression.
2. Over and above the feedback- what are the areas where you have become stronger? - this could be related to:
work - more responsibilities / a promotion / international travel / change of job, that has helped you move closer to your career goals.
extra-curricular involvement - if you have taken up an activities/ hobbies outside work.
A general word of advice: I believe that the re-applicant essay is a very important one because eventually every b-school would like to know how you are better this year. BUT, there could be some simple reasons for last year's ding- your essays were disjointed so they did not make an impression, they reflected immaturity, they did not communicate a purpose or direction. Make sure you get these basics right this year.

Interviews are not going slow ... its just that very few people who applied to ISB are on pagalguy
@navisangha when can delhi candidates can expect a i/v call. Can in any case the call can be sent before 5-7 days before the interview date?
@navisangha thanks for the reply. was just wondering based on a comment about admissions from page 161. π I have heard something on those lines as well.
And just read the 'interview debrief' pdf that you had circulated earlier. Thanks π Truly useful.
Is it that hyd(hyd) calls come in pretty late ? Can anyone confirm this theory
@amittsaxena Congrats ! π When did you submit your application? Can you please share your profile & tell your appln series number?
