nearest crossowrd mein nahi mila.. all Princeton review they have.
how many of the reapplicant puys think that they can show a significant change in their profile since last november ??
and any idea what happens if we cannot show any major changes? do we get an outright reject even without an interview

i work in a startup and i dont think i can show any other major changes as of now:banghead: unless my CTO or CEO quits

I am planning to definitely show it on the personal front. Professional front, I do think much happens in a gap of 5-6 months, unless you are real lucky.

You should wait for the feedback to know what lost it for you. That should be your development area. Till then you try to better your profile in an area you think did not go down well with Adcom

We will have to wait for the feedback I guess.. can't be sure if the profile was the reason for the ding or the GMAT or the essays or the Interview.

I think I will have to put the same profile in a different set of 300 words and project to adcom again.. Its the era of superhit remakes from Don to Agneepath.

Focus on the GMAT for now..about your profile, you can ask for an evaluation in May.. ALl the best.

In my 'vela' time, this is what I found on ISB website for EC's.. Hope it helps.

5) How important are extra-curricular activities in the application?

The ISB would like to admit well-rounded students. Extra-curricular activities add that extra dimension to your personality. In the US it is routine for people to do community service, which they can mention as an extra-curricular activity in their applications. But Indian conditions are different, so not having done such activities is understandable. However, if you look deep down, you may find some things that you may have been doing. Did you tutor a kid anytime, did you organize a festival in your apartment complex, did you volunteer your time in some campaign or raise funds for some cause, etc.? If you haven't done anything at all, it's never too late to start. Don't do it just to get your B-school admission, but do what interests you. If you are in the IT area, think of something related to IT that you can do after office hours. How about persuading your company to donate their obsolete computers to charity? The possibilities are endless.

And this is what I found for re-applicants. THis means no reading the past essays.. I might just be saved.

The admission decision will be made based on the current application.

Speaking on that, one of my recos will be the same as last time. This is what I think as of now. Most prob'lly the feedback from ISB does not point out the prob was my reco.

Hi Guys,
I m new to Pagalguy. Got the regret letter from ISB on 15th informing me that I was not selected. Have decided to reapply for the class of 2014.
My Profile:
Class X : 75 %
Class XII : 84 %
B. Tech in Mech. : 8.1 CGPA (out of 10)
GMAT : 660 (Still wondering how I got a call for the interview)....:D
Working in the construction industry with an experience of 5+ years.
Not much in extra curricular activities except arranging get togethers in the office and management of two fests in college.

Am planning to take GMAT again somewhere around May first week.
Any suggestions how I can do more on the extra-curricular front or comments on my profile in general would be welcome.....

Hi Guys,

GMAT : 660 (Still wondering how I got a call for the interview)....:D
.....

I met one lady during my iv her GMAT score is 610. One guy from Australia got in this time his GMAT score is 570.
People with 760 have been rejected with/without iv .. So I would say GMAT only adds so much to your profile. if u have got iv call they like your profile
atb to you. lets crack it this time.

bhai ek mere liye bhi πŸ˜ƒ
You might want to increase your stamina for sitting and concentrating in a test which requires you to stare at a monitor for 4 hours.. Remaining focussed for 4hours is vry important.
In my GMAT, hafway thru Verbal,I was thinking that why isn't this damn think getting over?gimme my marks n let me go.:wow:
As soubhg said, doing RC for 3-4 hours might help in increasing stamina.

PS: thoughts are tried n tested on me
