What's with the number being changed to 67 or a number close to 67?


My original number was 140xxx. Changed to 2014/yyyy. And now on portal I only see yyyy. And this yyyy is a nowhere close to 67.

Looks like its game over for the rest of us whose numbers haven't changed. :(

@preferanonymous .....is the yyyy same as the yyyy in 2014/yyyy....because mine changed to a diff four digit...and it is 1967 now......

@isbmydreaM Dude if it gonna had to change then it should have for everyone after the interview but for most of us it is not...surely there is link between admit and and the change in the number....and the people whose number has changed had good interviews...like sudhir he was able to spend some quality time with Adcom over the lunch...ofcourse ISB would deny these facts as they dont wanna disclose the admits at this point...but surely there is an apparent connection...

Guys, finally my interview is over and now wait starts. I had only 15-20 minute interview - no crazy questions. They just asked lot of questions about my new venture...few questions about my previous work experience and then they gave me an opportunity to ask questions in the end. It seemed pretty straight-forward.

I spoke to atleast 25-30 fellow applicants and all of them reported the app number in YYYY format( 4 digit ) except me and dreamisb2004 ( ours is in YY format)... i m sure there is some logic in the way ISB would have changed the app numbers but we guys have to wait for 15th to get anywhere close to that logic... I'm not thinking abt it and focussing on Diwali !!! Wish u all a very happy Diwali !!!

@Slimsawt even tho ur points r logical......but this dudette spoke to the admissions team this morning and just wrote what reply i got from them.......nevertheless... i don want to ruin my diwali because of this and i hope u all have a great diwali.....the anxiety remains but then again the final result will come on the 15th..........

hi puys apparently @himanshudesai had a 2 digit app number before he went into the interview. does that mean he was selected before the interview? ..

15-20 minutes is enough to keep you in that corridor of uncertainty, perfect way to ruin diwali ;)

Though on a serious note, generally, entrepreneurial experience would be looked upon rather positively by the ad-com. Hopefully they wouldn't have had a lot to ask.

I have a similar opinion that this app num wouldn't have changed without a reason at all.... Its bizarre!....Mine is currrently 2014/xxxxx. xxxxx being a 5-digit number.

I believe the Adcom makes changes in systems for selected/waitlisted candidates and leave the rejected ones records as is. At the end, the automation picks up these entries and mails them the admits/waitlists while the rest of them get a common rejection mail. These changes in app num can be due to these entries.
