@retrosat Well.. selling yourself as in putting forth relevant points in a manner that describes you well.. not in a way that practically spells "Im am all this and more coz im telling you" Gimmicks - just trust me on this one....Flamboyance too.. take my work on that..Being practical is fine!!!! worked for you.. great!!! Im on waitlist too.. welcome to the gang. We are 6 of us on PG at the moment. I see there arent any more posting atleast
We are looking at it from diagonally opposite ends (me from the underseller angle and you from the overseller one).
@anythings hey i too got a call from mr srinath at arnd 10 pm last nite...but no info aftr that..:(

wats ur status?
@sudhanz Waiting! :)

Am prone to speaking like this, so forgive me if I sound too sappy.

To all the admits, I'll say that live the moment. For a week now celebrate. Responsibly. You guys put your respective asses on the line to achieve what you have. So have fun while the heady feeling 'of being accepted by ISB' remains. Trust me when I say this, the feeling is headier when you are outside the confines of the campus πŸ˜ƒ And yes, remember yesterday (as in yesterday) because that was the day when you had a potentially life-changing epiphany. Save it and savor it. Because time flies faster than you'd believe it does. I had the same feeling of being light-headed 9 months ago, and today am 60% done with my course. Before you accept the offer, and after you do that, try to internalize the reasons for which you chose ISB. Because, believe me, once you are in the school, the priorities go for a toss. So try to instill those beliefs as your convictions. Promise not to be a lemming. Or unethical. Or disrespectful. Because the gladiatorial atmosphere inside will test you a lot of your perceptions and values. Always remember the reasons why you had applied to ISB - it wasn't because you were mere mortals. But rather one of those who guide and lead them.

To the waitlisted candidates, well Edmond Dantes had asked us to Wait and Hope. And I cn't better that.

Finally, those who couldn't make it, remember that it is not the end of the world. It can never be. Don't be bitter, please. That's for the weak-hearted. Be strong, because you've learnt some life lessons. Be proud, because you have competed well. And harsh as it may sound today, try to solder the chinks in your armors. Because even you know that there are some. Just don't be blinded by the superciliousness of a fool to ignore those. Come back stronger.

All, I'll be gone off this place for a while again. Will resurface again during mid of R2 interviews. In the interim you can mail me at aritro.b(at)gmail.com or add Aritro Bhattacharya on FB.

Best of luck.

Waitlisted..Got the email today morning

@xingdeep thats 11 of us then!
@Tan23 No we did not. Our interviews were a week apart. ISB is the only school I applied to. I'm interested in moving back to India. ISB would be a good way to establish some sort of a network in India which I currently don't have given that I've been out of India after my 12th. And I don't quite see IIMs, XLRIs etc. in the same league as ISB. That is the primary reason behind applying only to ISB.

@preferanonymous cool, thanks for sharing. My focus is on returning to sg. But going by the decent numbers of applicants in international pool, I hope ISB will offer networking opportunities for outside-India as well.

A bit surprised - you don't see IIMs in the same league as ISB? ISB is just great 😁 but I read a couple of folks saying it was their plan B after IIMA. Anyway, personal opinions differ. :)
