@vjmannur .. i agree. I don't think it has any bearing on the calls. Best way to go about it.. take 3 weeks from when you complete application was submitted.. including the recos and everything... and by then you should have got it.. That is what ISB says... if you still havent got it by 3 weeks probably mail them and find out.
can anyone advice me as to what strategy one is using to write about the one word which the ISB is giving prior to the interview.i mean intro,meaning,what it means for me etc etc.how many words essay?
@KshitijBaldua were ur recos submitted after 30th... if yes.. may be that is the reason ur verification is delayed...
@vjmannur .. actually 3rd was the date when the last reco was submitted.. so yeah.. maybe that is the reason

I submitted my Appln on 29th Nov. and One of the Recos was submitted on 4th Dec. No message from ISB yet.

@rochak22 hi.. one tactic is to relate the given word to one of themes in ur essays & form ur subsequent paragraphs basis that..
are the words always easy? my vocab is not very strong. will they let us know the meaning of the word?
puys... help me out in a decision making quandry here.... I have just received an admit to CUHK with a scholarship of 160000 HKD. I have to accept before 3rd Jan. Now my first preference is ISB and this school was my backup... I am stuck... what should I do?
@rochak22 : I linked thew one word "PROACTIVE" to my own personality that I had described in my video...and I think it worked!
Even I have poor vocab, but my essay writing skills are quite good. In case a difficult word is allotted to me is it ok to use my phone to know the meaning of that word and write the essay? 😃
@raghupro same problem with me!! i can even understand the meaning when i am reading the word as part of a para, understanding the context is easy but given a difficult word, i am not very good at its meaning. @banerjee.mamata can u pls answer our query?

now to ur problem, is the initial fees that u need to pay to show ur acceptance non-refundable? as in most of the cases, they deduct some small amt and refund the remaining amt.
