Here goes, I graduated from VIT (Vellore) in 2007 with my B. Tech. in CSE and after that I joined in IIIT (Hyderabad) in MS by Research program in 2007 itself and completed three semesters covering 25 credits with a GPA of 8.8. To graduate from IIIT we need to complete 24 course credits and 24 research credits out of which I completed 21 course credits and 4 research credits by then. But after three semesters I had to discontinue my course due to a medical issue, I had to undergo few surgeries. I took a break of around 4 months after that and started working.
So I left this whole two years out from my ISB application as I couldn't find any place to fit this in. Now ISB sent me a mail asking me to justify the gap of 2 years between my under-graduation and work.
@ammo44 I did not apply to any other b school apart from ISB. In fact I am not even willing to accept an admit in Mohali campus if it is a made a must.
I will be handling my startup along with my MBA at ISB if I get an admit so I will not be able to leave my startup and relocate to a place outside Hyderabad.
I will be coming back to my company post MBA, I have a strong technical team and no one has the core competency to handle the non-technical aspects. I have been training myself in crude ways since the last 1.5 years by expanding my networks and getting help from various industry experts but it's high time I sharpen my skills and accelerate our efforts further.
@raghupro just out of curiosity, how do they allocate students into HYD or Chandigarh campus? based on preference or lottery system lol.
@Suraj27 ISB says that they will be using an algorithm that allocates the campus depending on few parameters in our application.
@Suraj27 I attended ISB info-session where I asked this ques to them. Adcom replied that they want to keep the profile of students same in both the campus to have diversity in class.
Example: If hyd cmps has got a student with 7 yrs merchant navy exp alrdy, they will not go for same profile student in Hyd, other student with the same profile, if got selected, will be given Mohali.

@p.neha Whats your GMAT, work profile and location...that can tell your when can you expect the verification mail..
I think you should get the mail today or latest by tomorrow...IT ppl from b'lore are still getting verification mails till date...

wow!! I see a surge in the i/v calls from yesterday!!! Thats great! ALL the best to all ho have landed a call...
My chances of a short-list are getting dim by the day... I had submitted my app on 20th Nov and got the verification mail on 21st Nov itself... No i/v call as yet...
