@punters11 holy lord!! i agree that i'm not very active on the forum, but that doesnt mean you leave me out
@rajivchatterjee Hello Rajeev
I may not be qualified enough to judge your profile but there is one thing certain with ISB-No assumptions. You can not pre-assume anything unless you get a reject or invite. and as far as I see, you have an outstanding profile. People like you are required by the organization so why would not any niche school like ISB would like to have you in class to add to the class profile.
And once again, prepare for your best. There may be an Invite any day.
Cheers
@swetharrao Hello Swetha, I am also from Chennai I haven't seen PGuy from Chennai getting an I/V invite as of now.
Hope I break this..:D
Cheers

Hey guys,

I am from Delhi, and new to this forum. Here is a quick intro:
Work Exp (Full time): 3.5 Years (Auto Mfg)
Work Exp (Part Time): 1.2 Years (Advertising Start up), 1 Year (Human Analytic Start up)
GMAT:760
UG: 7.7, NIT (PE)
EC: Moderate (Professional Motor-sporting, Few Social Service initiative, Couple of Patents titles, Speaker at SAE World Congress'12 & few other global platforms etc etc)

Guys, what all electives are there in ISB's pot to offer if one wants his concentration to be Entrepreneurship ?

Hello Fellow Puys,

@raghupro @punters11 @gmatCallow @Rajat_S @atalb Sharing a thought!

While many of us are waiting anxiously to get an interview call and later an offer from ISB, how about using part of our time on this forum on some brainstorming on certain topics?

We don't know, who will end up being class-mates at ISB, but we do know that we have more than a month when we are all kind of here for each other, wanting to reach the common goal.

I would suggest if we could pick one topic every day (Topic of the day) from segments such as Business, a particular Industry, Societal issues, Philosophy, Future, Technology, Space, Economics, Education, anything else and brainstorm on it to identify and get into depth of the problem/challenge/issue/analysis and perhaps end up with some solution/conclusion and shared learning after the discussion.

E.g. Recent discussion that we had - Correlation between MBA and Performance of CEO

This kind of brainstorming is something that we would be doing a lot during our MBA days. So, why not a little warm-up! :)

@raghupro, being a very good moderator, known to many and very helpful to all in this forum, could help moderate this activity, if he is OK with it :). What it means is he could help collaborate and present a topic of the day based on inputs from all of us. [Just felt that you would be an apt candidate for this. It's a compliment :)] Else, we could take turn to be the moderator everyday.

What do you all think? You can choose the topic, which is close to your heart and we will all participate in brainstorming.

We can refine it if you have any suggestions.

ATB,
Regards,
Kumar Pritam
@kumarPritam I would like that very much.
@raghupro@punters11@gmatCallow@Rajat_S@atalb Also we can collaborate in other areas such as proof reading each other's essay in future in case situation comes.Some of us will be accepted in ISB and some will be applying to other schools.So the competition does not need to be against each other and we can foster collaborative environment in years to come.

Guys, in case you'd like to have mock interview sessions, am ready to offer some mock sessions. Please fill up the doc at the following link if you are interested.

hehe...of course...how could I forget. So, our core group of 5 is made already
@kumarPritam I am up for it! I love moderating communities :D

I would suggest to shortlist around 5 segments for discussion initially and then take up a category and go brainstorming about any topic in that segment for 3 days. What say?
@abyroy @anan85 @Navneet1384 @riddhibasu

Anybody from Kolkata got interview invitations yet?
@kumarPritam Hey, I think the six hats model works well for case studies and ideation process but not for a generic discussion that we are planning out for now.

Though I haven't heard about the six hat model earlier I have been using it since the last one year for various product developments happening in my startup.

I might be very wrong with my views, feel free to correct me! :)

Anyways, I have to get going for the mock interview session guys, let's catch up later today.

By business Knowledge, I mean, the knowledge (Learn during MBA :)) that is needed to run a business. In this category, we can question different aspects of business knowledge such as Marketing, accounting, branding, human resource, etc. and identify why do we really need them?

About Business Knowledge
http://sbinfocanada.about.com/cs/startup/a/needtosucceed_2.htm
@raghupro Hmm...Good to know that you were using it for prod development in your startup. And, you are right, the model is more suitable in solving a problem or making a decision.

Let's say, the end goal of our brainstorming is to come up with 10 points to describe the values of business knowledge. Of course, this will be done at the end of our brainstorming and that's when we can use the six hats model.

So, 2.5 days of general brainstorming and last .5 day to come up with 10 points using six hats model to describe the values of business knowledge.

What do you all think? You can suggest any topic, that you want us to participate in, for brainstorming. Address your choice of category to Raghu.

ATB for Mock Interview, Raghu!
@hunter101 Nopes not for me as yet.....
