ISB Class of 2014 aspirants.

@vicky214 do not worry much!! i have rarely heard of anyone having an extraordinary i/v. Majority of us have mediocre i/vs. I have seen ppl having v good i/vs but still dint get the admit and ppl having v bad i/vs but still getting admits.
I guess they r a lil random..and the i/v is just one part of the whole process. they evaluate ur app holistically..so nothing can be said before feb 15th.

stay positive.. and just pray hard that all of us sail thru. Thats all that we can do now! πŸ˜ƒ πŸ˜ƒ

Anyone had their interview on 20thJan Sunday at Hyderabad with Panel-2 ?

mine didnt start on a good note and the interview totally went offtrack and I could only answer a bit convincingly in the last 5-10 minutes... total interview last arnd 30-35minutes...

@sanju200888 : You can start with diagnostic test on MBA.com. Give it seriously and then based on result you can decide on the books.

Official Guide by GMAC is must in any case.

For verbal, if you are very weak, then go for Manhattan books (costly but effective)

If quant is your strong point, then OG should be sufficient or you can decide on Manhattan books (5 different books for different sectins of quant) based on your diagnostic test result.

Hope this helps.

@mank18 I just checked the ISB application portal and the i/v dates for Mohali shows 26 - 30 Jan. I remember that earlier it was till 1 Feb. So now that the wait time has reduced by 2 days, suddenly hopes started diminishing at a faster rate. Not sure why these dates change so frequently.
@vbinani

hey, its ok. If it is has to happen, it will.

Anyway, whats more surprising is the lack of calls reported on pg for Mohali post Friday.

@mank18 Yeah - thats true. However, few of my friends have received i/v calls for Mohali on Saturday. So, ISB did roll out some post-friday.

@vbinani for which dates ??

For all the guys who have been interviewed...

how do you know the panel consists of alum or ad-com. Do you guys ask them or they mention it during intro??

@vids2013 My panel mentioned their names not their role (alum/adcom/prof).
Hi All, any body wants to comment on this please..
@mank18 They have received their i/v calls for 29th Jan.

Another day about to pass by without an i/v invite...

Technically, the interview is over in 30 minutes. But we remain in that interview room for many days after the interview. Ur brain keeps thinking ' I should have said that, I should have said this ..I didn't talk about my greatest strengths...' . You are stuck at that point. It's a state of limbo.. I wake up from my dreams now a days and use a totem to confirm that I am not still in the interview
hahah...asif u spoke my mind out!
@vbinani Another fact - my friends who have received their i/v calls for 29th Jan are from Non-IT background. Trying to be Optimistic

I too feel the same.... there were so many things I could have talked about in the interview but it just didn't strike my mind at that moment... and now I just feel that I shouldn't have interviewed at all :(
@vjmannur Same here buddy. I feel like protagonist - Sunny Deol (from Ghayal) and screaming "Balwant Rai ke kutte (for ISB i/v call) - bahar nikal !!!! " Just trying to divert my mind from refreshing my mailbox every now and then.
@vbinani seriously dude!!! If i get an admit and then later remain a full time alumni, I shall insist on conducting all the i/v's i am supposed to conduct in the first 2-3 weeks itself so that guys like me at that time do not have to wait!!!
@klewless lol dun wrry yaar. all d ppl who lose out on isb shud meet nd start thr own venture

Hey guys,

I just received an invite. January 26th @ Mohali.

Need to get cracking now with my prep. Suddenly, jitters of a different kind.
