@sid28 i THINK UR I/V WAS IN RIGHT DIRECTION AND THEY WERE JUST TRYING TO FLOW WITH YOUR IDEA. HAD THEY BEEN UN-INTERESTED THEY WOULD HAVE NEVER DELVED INTO MARKET VENTURE AND STRESSING U WITH "UR IDEA WONT WORK". May be they were just trying to gauge ur basic understanding of marketing ur product since u r into entrepreneurship.

@ammo44 said:@waterman Change of career is a life long process which has three parts namely change of function, change of industry or both. When you will become senior with work ex then director of the board is something which you will seek for in a company. During this continuous career changes through out our life our recommndors would be definitely our peers with diverse background lets take example of the doctors at ISB enrolled for PGP who have their unique industry experience and a BDM profile can join them to promote their business and their industry specific product. I hope this example may be of help.

Here are the questions.
1. You have close to 8 years exp. Talk about challenges.
I said technology change management was the biggest challlenge.
2. How did you handle?
Answered.
3. But you are an independent consultant and not part of big company. So you dont have to worry about the change management. What was your challenge? (Read - Apni aukaadh pe baath kar)
I said, being independent is like painter job in your home and any day you can cut him out. To me to be successful I have to create a value for my presence everyday to continue my engagement and this is my biggest challenge.
4. You said you want to enter M&E; in Analytics space. But in India there is hardly any talk of that. What opportunity do you see?
You read any research material from Deloitte, KPMG or PWC about this industry, all of them agree that M&E; is undergoing a great change in the next 2-3 years and elaborated on this on how this industry shift because of FDI and DTH penetration will generate new opportunities.
5. Have you had any M&E; experience prior?
No
6. You made a movie and became a revenue sharing partner? Did you negotiate terms with Youtube? (EC)
I told I could not as I had only one movie on hand.
7. Eloborate on revenue sharing model of Youtube. (This is my EC)
Eloborated.
8. You are a member of AP Cine Writers Guild. Why did you take this membership? (EC again)
Answered.
Any questions for us?
Asked One question.
Tata bye bye...
That's it. No standard why MBA/ISB/Now questions. But again all the answers I gave were the ones I practiced and that helps a lot. So practice practice.
Nice poker faces they maintained. Couldn't make out anything. Waiting for feb 15th now.
For people preparing for i/v, feel free to PM me and I will help out in anyway I can. All the i/v material on PG is helpful but I feel only you can predict ahead on what questions you might be asked for your profile and you have to gather them and vet the answers out.
just called isb...they said the last set of invites for isb have just been sent out....
