Had my i/v yesterday over skype and phone. They mainly asked me about my work and my xtra curriculars. Looking back, a couple of my answers were unsatisfactory, but they did not grill me much. The interview got over in 25 mins. I am not sure if that is a bad sign or not.
Himanshu
R1 Admit.
I had my interview recently in Hyderabad.
GMAT Score of 720
Chemical Engineer from IIT-Delhi
2 and a half years of work-ex in Dr.Reddy's Laboratories.
The entire interview was centered around my project-Change Management Initiative (driven by Mckinsey).
So they asked me to describe the project end-to-end.They then asked some specific questions like what were the challenges that you faced, what was your achievement, etc.
You are an engineer-why did you opt for this kind of a role.
Then some this and that questions like what do you do on weekends, how do you travel to the company, what are the working hours, etc.
Nothing more...
And yes, the essay topic was 'Forum'

Just finished my interview today....was asked about my projects in detail..then started the grilling about why consulting...the panel just got stuck and were constantly challenging my views of why...was not quite able to answer them with conviction..not sure what to make of it..whatvhas been the experience with other puys?

i had my i/v on 20th in Hyderabad. It was extremely chilled out. No grilling whatsoever. for 10 minutes we were discussing about cricket! (i had mentioned it in my hobbies). rest of the time was spent discussing about my international experience and there were couple of technical questions (my background is in Finance). I think it went well as the panel (consisting of 3 alumni) seemed sold on my answers (hopefully they were not playing along). happy to answer further questions.
