ISB Class of 2014 aspirants.

Feeling very tensed about the final result now...specially because the adcom was prob not convinced with my explanation of why mba...i wish i could go back in time and retake the interview..

Article on the B-school selection process. I guess ISB follows a similar process, with some variation, considering the volume of applicants received as against Rotman

Hey Reecha,
Congrats for the Interview Call.

I dont think one gets an call jus coz one is a female.

You get it coz you deserve it. Period.

So stop being modest and work on your interview. I am sure you must have read most of the interview experiences posted on the thread.
Long Story short: ISB is a Circus. you got a free ticket to it so go and have fun for 20 - 25 mins :)

Cheers,

@Kode_A Not because the girl is sweet but she will be selected because she made to IIT and its a rare sight...Hahaha. However, speaking about IT folks why all Bschool dislike them the answer is -because they are bad with career change. For example: IT to Ibanking. No of fence here but it's true.
Brother, I totally understand the point of discussion here. I would like to add to it in the following way:

Firstly, IT to IBank is not a fantasy but a total possibility. But the mere surge of aspirants without a proper approach is appalling and disliked by the adcoms. Plan, workout and execute is the process which everyone needs to follow, be it a finance related certificate or a job change into finance related roles.

Secondly, IT is not a sin, every country has a trend that stays for a certain period in time. India has been in such phase and the reason is IT. Even USA has seen a rise in healthcare consulting these days and who knows we may see a day where a healthcare consultant is considered equally not desirable as an Indian IT engineer is today.

Paani wale Bhaiya (aka @waterman ) I agree with the trend point.

Most of us dont even need an MBA to grow in our career.
But again MBA too is a trend more than necessity for most of us

Cheers,

Does ISB send reject emails..? or if we dont get an interview call till a certain date..we should consider ourselves rejected..? If so whats that date usually? I had submitted my app on Nov 30th ..no clues at what stage it is..?
I wonder why ISB takes so much time..US colleges also receive a lot of apps..but they give their decision quite quickly

15th Feb. You shall know it all.
This is R2 for ISB.

And ISB likes us all.
they dont want us to over spend on Valentine's Day.
We all can have excuses "Baby I am nervous about tomorrow's result" and u can celebrate V day with jus a simple rose or roadside tea

(PS: I am glad someone is not on PG πŸ˜ƒ )
