ISB Class of 2014 aspirants.

I am curious to know with out rolling admissions how will they be sure to fill up the class room?

Will there be a WL for R2 as well and if one is wait listed when is the date after feb 15th that he/she can be sure that they didn't make it?

hey..i just got a recharge done and called up isb to confirm if the offers have started rolling out and the lady replied damn sweetly.. "No, Mam... 15th of feb for that"
Pls value my statement
@Gunnerforever congratulations ! i don't know you and have absolutely no clue about your profile but I am so happy for you! its like we are all in the same boat and at least one of us has reached the shore! πŸ˜ƒ for the rest of us, something from my fav serial:

"We're all susceptible to it, the dread and anxiety of not knowing what's coming. It's pointless in the end, because all the worrying and the making of plans for things that could or could not happen, it only makes things worse. So walk your dog or take a nap. Just whatever you do, stop worrying. Because the only cure for paranoia is to be here, just as you are."

@Gunnerforever Mr. Patel, congratulations man. You're the man. It's early morning here and I looked into PG blog, all of a sudden you've put new life into it.
Well done buddy. I wish you lots of success. Rock on buddy.
@delatpg

Hey brother, y wud i take u r response in a wrong way? I respect your opinion.
They way I have written in my debrief gives such one an impression. But I spoke about my personal reason in the end for after thoroughly explaining my professional goals. If auto sector was the only goal, then European B schools too wud do the job. Infact European few schools are better than ISB. I chose ISB keeping both professional and personal interests in mind. I am confident that I did strike a balance here.

I wish u good luck brother :)
@rohitsa

U have a good profile too :)

U have sufficient time to prepare. I got a call just 3 days b4. I am not a major gyan guru in this matter. But I would like to suggest that you stop looking at any forum 1 or 2 days b4 u r interview. This is the time u shud spend yourself. Since u have loads of time, do all the research b4 hand and stay calm during last 1 or 2 day(s)

I wish u all the best brother :)

@srm85

Hey :)

Thanks for a positive response. Feels good reading your response. Yeah I did mention abt my extra currics very clearly in Essays 1 and 3 and perhaps this was the reason they did not ask me about them. But as u said I should have presented the two imp points, but I did speak to few ISB alums, they warned me not to over sell myself to ISB. Each one has a different opinion. So it is subjective.

Now I can only wait till the decision is made. I wish u good luck with u r candidacy :)

I can relate to that. I recently switched my job. At the time of interview I had completed just over a month at my new company. I thought that I will be grilled on this, but I wasn't. I gave a good explanation in 1st and 2nd essays and that could be reason they did not ask.

I think I did not over sell in my case. I wanted to show something that I had created, but it did not fall under EC or any other section. It was something that could be understood only after looking at it. I thought this was the only opportunity to show them something I am really proud of. I just went with it. And it did leave a positive impression (as far as I could tell).

Best of Luck to you too bro!! Hope we meet as ISB students in a few months time

Did somebody check with isb if theu have indeed started rolling out offers?

Has anyone else reported an offer?

Can anyone suggest which is the best online course available.

@Gunnerforever : Congrats once again bro....i have nothing against you but i had seen people faking it in R1 which was not funny to me at all.....my doubt also stemmed from the fact that all this while i have been trying to get an early decision from ISB and the only answer i heard from them was nothing before feb 15th.....anyways i am very happy for you and cheers to you for the 1st R2 candidate to make it to CO2014......
@Gunnerforever ...Have you applied for the scholarship?? Jus to check if there is a pattern in the rolling offers.

@Gunnerforever hey.. can you please clarify if you are an international applicant? It would throw some light onto the whole picture and help us understand whether or not the rest of us have a reaosn to be anxious..

Hearty congratulations once again.. just that it is very unlikely for domestic applicant to receive a rolling offer.. besides .. anyone else who has received an offer? please share..

Also..just curious to know.. any reason as to why your name doesnt appear in the snapshot uploaded? and interview on 22nd Jan.. weekday huh.. pretty unusual for domestic applicants!

I think we should all wait for 15 Feb.. i understand from some friends who have been admitted in R1 that ISB will not send out rolling offers.. interviews are still being conducted and the last of the interviews will be around 9th Feb.

All the best guys πŸ˜ƒ

this might have been asked before ....but do they give you one word essay in skype interview too? how is it done. do they give a word and then wait for you to form the essay over skype :-s

Usually one word essay is not required in a skype i/v however one acquaintance of mine(last year) was given a word at the start of i/v and asked to give an extempore.....though the odds are against but you never know what's coming and it's always better to be prepared......
@delatpg - thanks dude!
@beekay They did give me "flop" to speak on in the middle of the interview. They mute their speakers and give you time to jot down your thoughts, while they discuss something between them. Its very casual. Not a big deal.
@ajayg1984 yes i did..and the lady said "No..15th of feb for rolling out offers.."
