ISB Class of 2014 aspirants.

@z-potm Awesome post. thanks.
I would be lying if I said i am not enjoying this attention and assumption that Kelloggs admit is in my hands.... sigh....

my friend has a big L on this forehead. Or lets say he is shy types.

@Kode_A "shy type" in Kelloggs? not easy to go through an interview, that too for a top college with a shy nature.

I am a surgeon. Not practising anymore. Workng in medico-marketing since the last 4 years.

@muni87 ya medico-marketing has lot of scope and big money I guess. Many of my Doc frens say so.

If he is not "shy types" then its a BIG L on his forehead for sure :)
And I respect his personal choice to not disclose his name. Hence didnt tag him.

But I guess asking all the question has solved the purpose. I really hope it helps him make his mind up.

@cyberabadi
i might be wrong here... but about waitlist- R1 and R2 waitlist will be combined and then all profiles will be re-valuated before calls are sent out. The decision will be 3rd or 4th week in March.
I know this as one of my friends is on the WL for R1 and she had called ISB to seek clarity on the process.
Hope this helps.

Guyz,I wanted your opinion on one situation. Shall appreciate your help.A friend of mine has got call from Kellogg School of Management. Was interviewed for ISB too.He asked me what to chose if gets into ISB too.Shall appreciate your views on it.My friend shall be a silent observer of this topic on PG I know. So be sure he ll be reading this.PS : Its not me. I have applied to only Indian courses.Cheers,
If it was me, i would defn go for Kellog. (assuming i manage to take care of the finances) But i agree it is a very personal choice. I see that it would be really beneficial to get a premium education and then work in the US for a couple of years and get back to India to do what I always wanted to do.
Plus, I feel Kellog is bigger better brand than ISB.. atleast as of today. And again if you look at the rankings ( which I always do) Kellog is the logical choice.
For me the only thing to consider would be the tuition fee. As I said if i could manage to pay for Kellog I would defn go there.
And the sad truth (which you know) is that i dont have any calls as of now..and yet I am sharing my opinion "Like a Boss"

I know... But if approx 50 ppl are to be interviewed on 9th, what are the odds that not one of them is a fellow puy... and also there are a lot of silent observers who do post when they get an i/v invite... So just to keep my hope alive I am gong to maintain that most 9th and 10th invites are yet to go out....
I have my interview on 9 Feb.. I have reported the same in previous posts..

Dude, I have noticed the interest you have shown towards ISB and MBA in general. Like the cliche goes something is in store for you and waiting. Be motivated and passionate about what ever you chose to do. Cheers!

@waterman Thanks mate... I hope its true...

Hi puys,Can anyone please confirm whether slots for 9/10 Feb are only for Hyd/Mumbai candidates or are they still open to all ( Delhi/Kolkata etc.) . ISB is not picking up my calls ( fed up finally !! )
I am Delhi candidate and I am called to HYD for interview..
Its great to see so much activity on this thread.. reposting my earlier post - Guys, somewhere on this thread I saw the collection of interiew questions asked in R2 co2014. can't find it now though. Would somebody be nice enough to point to that post or put that doc once again. Thanks.

Is the ISB final admit... actually true @ R2 for domestic candidates or is Gunner.... an international applicant?

@visionary2014 no one knows!!
@vjmannur dude, when did you submit your NUS app?
@Gunnerforever Hey there, congratulations on the admit. Did you apply to any other school as well? I have an admit from IIML but their deadline to pay up the first installment is on 10th Feb. I hope ISB lets me know the results before that as well.. For now eagerly waiting and hoping for the best. congrats once again..

@Kode_A : why is "your friend" is so shy that he cannot post this question himself?Anyways.... An MBA is one of the most important things in your life. It is your most prized, personal and costly investment. Always choose the option that gives you more exposure, more learning, better career opportunities, wider network. Do not let other factors, albeit however important, sway your decision. Money is important, family is important and fiance, even more. But, what about your aspirations? It is ultimately your life. Other things can be worked out. You should not look back 10 years down the line and regret, that you had the opportunity to go to a better school and yet you declined. Having said that, people do emerge winners even from a mediocre school and some people from superstar schools fail to rise in lives. So, it ultimately does depend on the individual. Now you/your friend can decide which is the right school for him.PS: I havent mentioned any school, so kindly dont pass scathing comments on me. Just my personal opinion.
It is not a question of being shy, I think the friend in question (I know him) does not want to flaunt his achievements in a public forum.
