Well...MR.CLEAN eh?BTW, puys, I always thought most of the drinkers must have gone through a pricking emotional moment. Wassay? This is purely my opinion. One may disagree.
What's your reason devdas?
Guys, I am a newbie at GMAT. Any idea when are we supposed to start the process of applying to ISB for 2014-2015 class? and how long does it usually take to write the essays?

Welcome to earth mate!

As far as I remember the portal opens somewhere in June/July. It is good that you start working on your essays and spot your evaluators at the earliest. You essays will need a hell lot of thinking, reiteration and evaluation. So start off with rough draft as early as possible without considering the word limit and then in each iteration make it better and prune it a bit until it meets the requirements.

@Kode_A Hyderbad ka weather sucks, Man. The only thing I hate about hyderbad is its weather and slums and poverty which is darn disturbing. I found it really hard to find a pub. In banga, you will find pubs like Pawan ki dukaan
Oyeee!! When did you last visit Hyderabad? Ask me or @waterman and we will take you to a new pub eveytime :D

Bhai I belong to a decent group of friends who never let me get spoilt. But I could still manage to get myself drunk at times :P

But the problem is that I drink Vodka only.
@raghupro Thank you Mr. Raghu πŸ˜ƒ Just a couple of questions. Where can I know about the kind of essay questions? How to go about preparing for GMAT? (Will CAT/XAT prep suffice? I have a few Manhattan books as well. And lastly, how is ISB for marketing? I have heard ISB is amazing for consulting, not so much for marketing.

I am not sure about how good ISB is for marketing. I hope someone helps you with it.

Yup, CAT prep helps you quite a bit for GMAT but do make sure you practice a lot. For few unlucky souls like me even though we score good in mock tests the final result doesn't really show up according to your expectations.

So practice a lot and write the complete mock test including the Argument and IR section coz for me the most difficult part was to be patient for the whole 4 hours while writing GMAT.

And as suggested by others give your GMAT before you begin your application. You will not be able to concentrate on your prep once the deadline for submitting your application approaches.

One last and most valuable suggestion: apply for R1. DO NOT WAIT FOR R2 coz you will be damn pissed off to wait for almost a period of three months to know your result and typically competition is a bit tough for R2. Repeat this 100 times. "I need to apply for R1" :P
@waterman hahahah...this is great... so the ISB/mba wait made you a drinker???...
I think this should definitely be a new criteria for college rankings, and maybe ISB will get a higher rank again

and hence lesson learned... you should have forward compatible usernames...

One last thing. You will get to know about the essays once the application portal opens up.

LOL. Yup, I get it :D

ok so as of now, we have the following requirements for the drinking party
Black Label
Bacardi
Jack Daniels
Vodka

I think the only thing missing is beer..

I wish I could project it as an accomplishment that distinguishes me from others..lol.

And aliases should never give out a clue, even in the future it should remain profound :D..Futuristic thinking of another kind...

@raghupro Haha.. yes, now I shall definitely keep that in mind and apply for R1 since you have emphasised it πŸ˜ƒ Thank you for all the tips. Hope your results come out well and you get into ISB. All the best to you sir!
