I wish mate but I am fed up of this "Your profile is SuperDuperMindBlowinglyInsalelyAwesome" praises yaar.. Things don't matter at some point and right now the only thing that matters to me is to talk to the adcom in April and get a detailed feedback on my profile. But anyways, good that you are still optimistic man. I hope things come true as you wish!
Am saying this as I know ya in person. You are an optimist. optimism is a good thing. And no good thing ever fades :)..Cheers mate..keep the spirits high..
thanks for the boost up and advice guys but I am at a certain point in my career that I had to pick up a side between a career shift and career enhancement. For me ISB was a career enhancement for my entrepreneur life but it didn't work out well so I am doing a career shift and getting back to my dad's company for now. Because of some immediate responsibilities I have to settle down financially by this year end and so I will have to work in my dad's company.
I might get back to ISB may be after 3 years but not anytime soon! I hope to continue my own ventures after a year or so once I settle down in my dad's company! :)
So there is no point struggling to give my GMAT again now.
@raghupro bro I sincerely request you to give GMAT again.your profile is say good. But lets assume it was not good enough. At least for ISB adcom. You can either spend your time saying: I ll show them I am better than they think I am (at least I was in that mode when I didnt get any call last year but soon realized its a system which has to be beaten. Nothing is personal)or next time when u strike be stronger faster and awesomer.I want to see you do really good in life bro. with or without ISB.But give your 100%. You still havent.People (we) praise you coz you have helped almost all.Only Raghu can help Raghu himself.I ll be really glad to hear success story.
Fair point, tame your obstacles and emerge the winner. We are sure you have got what it takes. Identify, Analyse, Solve the shortcomings (And GMAT certainly is one among them). Kindly take it in positive note and we would wanna see you in the top leagues soon.
@raghuproLIfe is not about loosing hope... its about learning with each day and applying each learning in future to make it better(No pravachan only suvachan)(again I made this just now)

Sounds like a plan, my greetings for your endeavors.

I believe that life is more about learning from your failures and applying your learning at the right moment to emerge as a winner. Just coz I failed to get into ISB this tim I cannot reapply immediately for the following coz priorities change a lot over one year but my long term goal remains the same. ;)

@raghupro Why should you think that You failed in getting into ISB this time if you really feel that you have got everything, that it takes to get an admit into ISB? I think of couple of things. First, may be, ISB's process is somewhat flawed (though, I don't know) if a deserving candidate don't get an admit. Second, may be, the path to attain the vision and goal for ISB does not coincide with that of your vision and goal. Basically, both school and candidate should be best fit for each other. There could be other schools (may be even better) which could be a best fit and more aligned towards your vision and goal. I think, as part of applying for MBA, one important and early exercise is to find out the best fit school for yourself based on your aspiration, your goals, your vision and school's aspiration, school's vision, school's goals.
this is my first visit to this thread. Congratulations to all R1 admits and shortlisted R2. And best of luck to those who are waiting for good news.
I have my interview on skype on Feb 10. I would like to know more about the interview experiences from those who have been interviewed. Is the format of the interview same for a face-2-face vs a Skpe interview?

Well, I do not think they'll give you a word and ask u to write an essay on that one, as they do when u attend an interview in person (I was given the word hazardous). My interview lasted for 40 mins (darn, finished off a whole bottle of water in that period). It's mostly about u, what you've done and how does ISB fit into your scheme of things (read plans, career progression). Be ready for at least 1 out of the blue/guesstimate type question.
Be yourself and be positive - that's a lot of advice, now go and CRACK it !
