@vids2013 said:Yep... I spoke to few current students and they say almost 40% are yet to be placed.not a great news, but yeah MBA is always a long term affairsomebody rightly said, its the second most important decision of life
@rohitsa said:@waterman , Dude, you're awesome, expecially in the 4th point - Quarter Life Crisis (QLC). I am having another trouble here. I have been offered another job which I have to accept or decline by coming Monday. I am thinking of requesting extension but I hope ISB saga for this year is over as soon as possible.
But just wanted to ensure one must "eat" there words.
FYI
1> your weeding out comment stands right below the controversial comment you made and that the person was unaware of Bain and BCG.
2> If you think what ever "shit " you posted around regional accent and skill, suggest you hear Prof Tsun Yan from China who is MD at Mc Kinsey . For one, chinese are believed to carry the heaviest accent and not supposedly good managers.
So please do not generalize your comment and hide behind it that "I don't understand and its general" .
Will help you face "reality of all sorts" and make you better at arguments.
Thanks and I really do not care if you bother to reply.

@raghupro said:I think they still have a few placement cycles left. And as far as I know more than 60% got placed in 3 cycles. Correct me if I am wrong
@vids2013 said:I am saying 40% glass is empty and you say 60% is full... I like the attitude Yes there are still few cycles left and what I mean by my statement is, the placements are not very rosy this year and more ppl might come out this year with out the offer of their choice. But still I am not trying for an MBA thinking about the next job I will get, but the position I need to be in after say 10-15 years and I guess atleast 80% in this thread think in same lines
@ammo44 said:@raghupro How many actually got placed??
Yeh Khud Hi Dhond Leta Hai, Jisse Barbaad Karna Ho!
60% placements is not bad at all given that ISB has few more placement cycles left. This year is tough so we need to factor that in as well. In my opinion, there will always be a fair number of people in a class in any given year, boom or bust, that will not get their "dream job". I am more in agreement with MBA as a longer term investment in your future. But, yes, we must be cognizant that a bad start post-MBA may make it that much harder to get to your longer term goals.
Hey guys, what is the plan for 15th? There will be happy and sad faces which means a lot of alcohol will be consumed by ISB applicants π what say???
