Depends on the concentration you want to pursue. If it is available at both the campuses then it does not matter.

Campus choice will not have any effect on your placements. This year 1st 2 rounds were held at Mohali. Rest at Hyd.
@Vato I want to pursue Healthcare Management so I have opted for Mohali. This course is being taught by Wharton and Johns Hopkins profs. I couldn't ask for more :)

I also wanted the same............ but dingd!!!

no frustration @harshadsgsits..
Better luck next time. :)

@MBA-2012 bad as in - can you elaborate please, if you know?
I do not have data to back up whatever I say. But this is what I hear from friends across Mohali and Hyderabad -

Day 1 and Day 2 held in Mohali. Rest in Hyderabad. Batch size increase from 550 to 770 - most companies will not hire more people from previous year. Situation obviously gets bad with proportionately more students not getting placed.

From a personal angle, knowing people with IIT and huge MNC tags (and ISB CGPA 3.50 or 3.60 out of 4.00, fantastic extra-curriculars) going unplaced even at this time - comes as a surprise to me. Not saying that the rest are not stellar profiles...!

My take would be - Hyderabad. 550 students in the batch, strong networking opportunities. Mohali, with 220 students, falls a little short of that. Hyderabad is more vibrant as a campus too :)

Further, personally, I am extremely interested in CEMS and WCED, which are at the Hyderabad campus. So, to a certain extent, your preference would depend on your professional goals too. Mohali is good for manufacturing and healthcare, I hear.

My 2 cents...the kind of discussion which is going on,one may not come back to the thread. You are all aspiring management students and need to show more maturity.

I have updated my details. I can see only 23 entries in the spreadsheet. I believe ~40-50 people have reported calls on PG.

@Yagami_Light @klewless and other puys, kindly update. All the silent spectators can also do the same.

I would say that Mohali would be better for networking. Smaller groups are more cohesive. By the end of the year you will get to know ALL the people. But such a possibility is rare at Hyd. With 550 students, you are part of a large crowd. And it is not feasible to reach out to everyone. At Mohali, there is a high chance that you would bump into each person twice or thrice. Since it is a new campus, everybody will be working harder for it's success, which in turn would make the connections stronger. And since ISB tries to have similar profiles across both campuses, you don't need to worry that you will miss out on something.

Do you know whether guys/gals who took ELP were picked up by the respective companies? Any idea about pharma placements?
@sudhir3127 As I said Bro these are hypothesis that we draw..I have no frigging idea what is given more weightage and what is not..Cos I have had seniors being dinged with a GMAT of 760 and yet others (in the forum) getting invites at round 650-690..So one really cant be sure..anyway lets hope for the best
@MBA-2012 can u share ur profile details..

Dude, I spoke to few 2012 pass outs who were a part of ELP. ELP is not like an internship and companies generally do not tend to offer a permanent position post ELP, there could be exceptions here and there. Am not an expert on pharma placements yet, will try to know and post it here at the earliest.
@srm85 well my friends at ISB said this.(I know 3 students in current batch).
Only students who were short listed for day1/2 were flown to Mohali.
due to increased batch size of course there is more competition . But many of them have mismatch between desired role and offered role. So lot of people declining offers as well.

Many are still un- placed but not frustrated and bogged down. still waiting for good opportunities. They are positive and that is what I liked πŸ˜ƒ

We as outsiders should not form opinions , if they are hopeful, all good ..
@waterman @swna Thanks for the updates. I am sure the rest will also get placed.
