ISB Class of 2014 aspirants.

@delatpg point to be noted. but the inclination to provide inputs for unpaid surveys have always been low, and so does it seem here as well. Looks like gotto nip my idea in the bud :-(.

Don't they start declaring their results much before 15th Feb ?

My I/V panel was sitting in front of me with a copy of the application that I had submitted which had my GMAT score of the first page, and they even asked me a question pertaining to my college(he alrdy knew the name, and I peeped in the page he was luking into it was the page which had my previous records-the box containing 10th 12th and Degree marks)..apparantly the alumni in my college is resident of the locality where my college is located...sigh..my I/V was realllyy wierd I feel..Sigh..

the alums in my interview panel did have access to my home address in my application( i stay very close to ISB )...but dunno if they did have access to my gmat scores n grades.....all we can do is speculate on how different the interview would be if they did/did not have access to our academic credentials....
@Ilovemagic ..dude/dudette are u sure??? This will be news then. It's stated in various sources (trustworthy) that they dont have access to the acads.
@Ilovemagic @klewless : It's an official word that i/v panel does not have access to GMAT score. However they do have a copy of the subjective part of your application including your essays, work-ex details, your under-grad college, activities/hobbies section including your recommendations which facilitate them to conduct an i/v.
@AnMbaAspirant I am not sure about the GMAT score but I AM quite sure of the that my grades in 10th 12th and degree were right in front of me..quite can be viewed as absolutely sure...
@delatpg @AnMbaAspirant I dont think there is any hard and fast rule I suppose...I guess its an unsaid rule which they might or might not have followed...So I think we must just stop speculating this...
@Ilovemagic ..i have surely seen its explicitly stated that they dont have the gmat scores. the acads could be variable. But certainly gmat score is not available. Can ping you the source if u want.

In the spread sheet I saw someone with an invite with 600 also.

The panel my I/v had my application infront of them. They asked me why I didn't mention clearly that I cleared a level of CFA and FRM each. They thought I am just starting off on each of them. I thought I did mention I cleared a level. They flashed it to me and said you didn't and I apologised for not being precise.

it's a pointless exercise trying to know if the panel has access to our gmat scores n grades

I think the Spreadsheet is not completely filled yet..Would seriously appreciate people to take a few minutes off to fill it up...https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AhVf0XdRszDhdEZWTTRjS003NFprbXZrM3VTWXZ2enc#gid=0

Thanks a ton!

Terrific profile you have....what other colleges did u apply? did u write CAT?

Was any of you asked a proper quant question in your interviews? I was asked an inequalities problem which I did answer correctly, but wasn't confident and didn't quite impress the panel.

I don't know if that will be the nail on the head for my rejection :/

Never heard of this before. May be they were just testing how you handle stress and react to unforseen circumstances :)

this is so wierd!! i received a mail from pgpadmissions @ isb . edu today!!.. my heart skipped a beat and then i realized that its a confirmation mail of my gmat score being reported to ISB.

my app was initially not verified since the score was missing,i sent adcom the mail from gmac letting them know that its already reported then the adcom confirmed back saying fine and later sent me i/v invite.. and now they realized they forgot to send me the "auto-generated" mail...happy realization ISB!! πŸ˜ƒ πŸ˜ƒ u just proved u r an indian school :P
@MBAspirant10 haha same here..even I just recieved this mail πŸ˜›

@MBAspirant10 I too have just received the mail and I had no such complications. So I guess this is most probably a technical glitch because of which they have ended up resending the confirmation to all applicants :). But my heart too skipped a few beats when I saw mail from ISB in the inbox :(
