@SMBA2012 - I had my interview on wednesday. It was more of a discussion than a grilling. I was asked about my work and how I had 'saved' the project. Second question was why mba and why isb. got a little bit grilled abt clearing civil services prelims. was i interested in a govt job and all. As i also do some standup comedy, I was asked abt it too. how did it start and how often did i perform. Overall it was a pleasant experience. lasted abt 30-32 min.
@asis88@tripamb thanks for your inputs..:) I think getting ISB's feeback will help for applying to other schools..I can then at least avoid mistakes if i have made any in ISB app

From what i gather from re-applicant's experiences on this thread last year, ISB won't be able to provide feedback until April end till CO2014 settles in.....i am not sure though......
Hey your approach sounds ok, but yeah I would suggest atleast start the basic stuff on any other applications u plan to do. Later you can incorporate ISB's feedback too...

Yeah that will be better considering @delatpg 's comment
@MissWorld What @delatpg said is true. I already sent an email to ISB requesting for a feedback on my application to which they replied back saying that I can get a feedback once they are done with admissions for CO2014.
besides that.. NUS has one essay very similar to ISB, recos are also a bit same... so u can start with the essays. I am also not waiting for the results... as if in case i dont get through i might end up wasting few days sulking @MissWorld
@raghupro : dude, you are real fast.....you could have waited for rejection mail(if at all it is) at least....
I got some confirmed information that the interview calls were all sent out already mate. So no point waiting any further.
Also I thought that it would like a reminder ping to find out if they are still considering my application. I made sure the content of the mail conveyed the right message ;)
Was anybody asked about their recos? why they got from somebody and not the other one? Does it really matter?
I worked at 3 places and got reco from managers at 1 and 3 of those 3. Was asked why didn't you get it from my manager at 2? Don't know if we needed to get it that way. Please clarify. Thanks
don't wait for the ISB feedback as you would get it only in April/May... Maybe you can your ISB application reviewed by any of the R1/R2 admits or frnds who got interviewed and they mite be able to point out what your ISB application lacked.... It will help you when applying for rest of the Bschools that you are planning to apply now

As per previous debriefs, this question is asked if you have not given any of your previous/current supervisors as recos. I can think of only 2 reasons why they asked this:
1. You served the longest in your 2nd job or had some significant achievements that you have written in your essays. They would have like somebody to corroborate that. OR they might be suspicious about what you did and the circumstances under which you left the organisation.
2. Chronologically 2nd and 3rd jobs are your latest jobs. So a recco from something closer would give them a better idea of your personality NOW. I mean it is possible that those 2 reccos did not give a consistent picture of you as a person, and there is some gap.
This is just what I think. Maybe others can pitch in their thought about this.
