@Kode_AInteresting discussion about NDA and UPA mate.. This thought struck me How would it be if Manmohan is the captain of UPA cricket team when UPA is playing Rest of India ..."Manmohan won the toss and is not able to decide whether to bat or bowl first. He has had two meetings with team mates and ex-cricketers. He now wants a 'chintan shivir' with the audience. The match already got delayed by half an hour and we are still waiting for a decision." UPA has always been reluctant to take big decisions. We are seeing a change lately ..But I have this feeling that NDA 's decisions would be driven by emotion rather than logic and reason ..but they wud take quick decisions. My personal opinion ! Modi is a good marketing guy .. He is a man with a mission and vision.. but what worries me is his Hindutva stance and RSS roots. A leader needs to be calm and unbiased in sensitive situations like that of Godra .. Loved this article : http://www.thehindu.com/opinion/lead/the-man-who-would-rule-india/article4390286.ece"There is something of Indira Gandhi in Narendra Modi, and perhaps just a touch of Sanjay Gandhi too €” as in the brash, bullying, hyper-masculine style, the suspicion (and occasional targeting) of Muslims. Either way, Mr. Modi is conspicuously unfitted to be the reconciling, accommodating, plural, democratic Prime Minister that India needs and deserves. He loves power far too much. On the other hand, his presumed rival, Rahul Gandhi, shirks responsibility entirely (as in his reluctance, even now, to assume a ministerial position). Indian democracy must, and shall in time, see off both. " Thanks for calling Suicide helpline .. Press 1 to die the UPA way .. Press 2 to die the NDA way .. I wonder "does it matter coz I am going to die anywayy"
Quoting what Hindu says on Modi is one of the most unfair things that can be done to any individual. It is like getting your staunch opponent to give witness in a case against you. It will never be for you, inspite of you not being guilty.

I don't see why you say NDA would make decisions in haste and not with logic and reason. Can you quote some examples? Because in their 5 years tenure, I see that they have made some very good decisions. They made some of the well thought out decisions in Indian Government and their Governments across various states are doing the same.

Coming to RSS roots, there are many leaders in India who have RSS roots. Atal Bihari Vajpayee had RSS roots. Many Congress leaders have RSS roots. RSS as an organization has never been anti national or anti to any community. If what RSS roots were really that big a problem, tell me one major riot reported post 2002 from BJP ruled states.

Coming to what happened in 2002, First of all it was unfortunate. Both action and reaction. But that can't be held against one man. The same Congress government has been overseeing some of the worst riots in India from long time and across various states. We all are stuck at 2002 as if that is the only one because that was perhaps the only televised riots in history. Even now there are some districts in Northern Telangana, and interiors of UP where people die in riots and Government machinery is just helpless. So what I am saying is riots are part of our lives given our social and political fabric. Both sides are culpable for that.

#EPIC
AWESOME.. Ha ha ha ha ha :)

@mvr4mba bhai... first thing first.. nothing is personal πŸ˜ƒ

Secondly whatever scams and kands that have come out in present tenure of UPA could have very well been NDA's if they were in power.
As I said earlier, none of the sides is immune to corruption and nepotism.

At its rational conclusion: because if u had to pick Indian Cricket Team Captain and choices given to you were between Ganguly and Ashish Nehra... anyone in his sense would go for Ganguly, there is no need of election or intellectual debates...

and if choice was given between Ashish Nehra and Sadagopan Ramesh... we still know anyone in his senses would not go for either options and there is again no need of any intellectual debates.. but this time you shall try to chose the lesser evil.. but end of the day you know it wont matter... as both wont get best out of the team..

(PS: No disrespect to any player or politician, the example was based on skills to captain a side, and skill was rated proportional to experience in doing so)

(PS to PS: Man I am good at giving disclaimers)

I know nothing is personal πŸ˜ƒ

Corruption and nepotism are part of any political system. In any country or any system, Its always about choosing the lesser evil. That is what democracy is. No system or Country is perfect.

And for me NDA/BJP is the lesser evil than Congress. Look at the state governments and national governments that they are running. I am a native of Andhra and Stay in Mumbai. And believe me I have seen two of the most corrupt state governments in this country. Totally inept and indifferent governments. Where no minister cares a hoot for the public, because he knows as long as he makes the high command happy, even the CM can't do anything.

Now contrast that with many State Governments that NDA is running today. Bihar, Gujarat, MP, Chattisgarh. Look at the kind of CMs they have. Coming to the case of Karnataka ( A blot on NDA's record, even there they have removed the CM against whom there were charges. Their most powerful MPs have been jailed.) But still Karnataka is better than what it was during the days of Gowda and Dharam Singhs.

Contrast that with how quickly Ajit Pawar was reinstated into Maharashtra cabinet after being accused of one of the biggest scandals of independent India.

@mvr4mba valid points sir. I agree. State Governments of BJP are doing good. And so is Sheila Dixit in Delhi, but she ll never get to get out of Delhi now I guess.

My Suggestion 2: ISB-KNB (In Se Badhiya Koi Nahi Bajata)
@mvr4mba the problem is not with any single party. its the system that is flawed.there are far too many parties in the game today. and no single party is ever going to win majority. so post elections it becomes a race to find allies and what you can offer them.

by 2040 there will be more than a thousand parties and the time required to vote will be greater than the gmat exam. you will have to book your slots a year in advance.

@mvr4mba
Its interesting that you are asking for examples gor illogical/emotional decisions of NDA government without providing examples of "very good and well thought" decisions by NDA. Please introspect if you have been emotional while writing this or you actually thought some illogical and logical decisions by NDA?

Examples of NDA being irrational:
1 invitation to Musharaff, hence acknowledging him leader of Pakistan, that is what all he wanted and went back from Agra without signing any deals.

2 Intel wanted to start fab in India, NDA did not understand the importance of semiconductor industry in India, did not make efforts to lure Intel instead according to then media reports, asked them what they would gain. Result intel started fab in China.

I can give few more examples, but my point is just to convey that there are irrational decisions by NDA.

You also mentioned towards the end of your thoughts about riots and said congress also is involved in riots, but this is exactly what Hindu article says? So what you want to say.

Hi all, thanks a lot for the wishes. I am done with the interview. I was basically grilled for 44.16 minutes. I don't think I created a good impression. It was evident in the start when I stumbled on the very first question. Although in the middle of the interview, they tried to make the situation a bit lighter but after a bad start, all I was doing was just digging a hole for myself. By the time I regained my composure, more than 30 minutes of the interview had passed. I am trying not to keep any hopes but deep inside me there is still one voice that tells me that I did a decent job. Fingers crossed for 15th Feb. I wish it was tomorrow. All the best to everyone else.

Special thanks to Sharat @cyberabadi , who gave me some very good tips and spent some time on skype call and all other puys who encouraged and inspired me directly or indirectly. I shall be in touch with you on 15th and after :)
@rohitsa Just imagine what it is for guys waiting for more than a month and a half....
@rohitsa - If it helps.... we all were grilled, cooked and baked more or less in the same manner.
I assume you are just done with the interview hence are in such a negative spiral.
When you think about it later u ll realize it was not as bad as you thought it went, but it could have had been much better for sure.

Hence KNOW that we all are in the same boat and waiting for the same coast.

Keep your hopes high till 15th Feb
And keep us posted if you can sing or play some instruments. If you do then we have vacancy for you in the band \m/
