Some unsolicted advice (again!). Going to B-school is about two things - Branding and Networking with your classmates. You can get a pretty decent understanding of concepts by reading "Dummies" books in the respective subects - it is *not* about what they teach you in school. Don't shortchange yourself by going to no-name colleges. If you can't get into a big name school - save your money and continue with your job. my $0.02.

@him2asu yeah plz chill..i was only kidding!

@SMBA2012

I asked one of my friends who is an alumnus, he said there is a waitlist for both the rounds. Those waitlists are mostly cleared by mid-March, if cleared.

@MBA-Husband thanks for your advice, I agree with your view but was hoping if some top-10 b-school can fall within 60lacs budget.

How is your ROI turning to be ?

It's nothing to complain about. ROI is a 'lambi-race-ka-ghoda'. So far so good. People always give you the benefit of doubt when you say you are from a big-time school. You have to relaize that your class accomplishment follow a normal distribution. Some do very well - and some not-so-well.
@MBA-2012 Not at all sarcastic. I am sure that your profile is rare because Boeing don't have operations here in India, I hope.

But whenever I see people from Emerson and Boeing I really like to know them well. These are the dream companies for anyone looking for SCM role post MBA. ::))

No issues, buddy. I'm a resident in Singapore. Did my school and university here as well.Well, I do demand planning of spare parts to support maintenance schedules of Boeing and Airbus aircrafts for aviation companies like SIA, Cathay, ANA, JAL, SAS, KLM etc. This includes attending production planning meetings with customers on a daily basis to address material shortages. And I drive improvements in our global supply base performance as well. Basically, it's a planning-and-sourcing role. Are you sarcastic when you say, you can't believe? Frankly, I do not see anything extraordinary
Just Putting my weird theories to practice.

You say you are resident of Singapore. Chances are very bright you have Tamil origin .. true ?? or you belong to the minority clan - Indian but not a Tamilian ?

Bhai and @rochak22 bhai :)

I was able to send you the PM. Must have been a tech glitch.
Anyways shall answer it here coz you asked here.

My personal Reasons are -

1. Between Xl's GMP, GL and SPjain's PGPM, SPJain is the youngest of them all. Its still growing in stature and reputation.

2. Majority of the students and company that visit the campus are from IT sector. Even though this is true for all courses and colleges, the % is really high in SPJain's PGPM

These were my only reasons.
Fees wise and location (MUMBAI) wise PGPM has a big +

I would rate PGPM over SPJain's GMBA if one is more than sure that he wants to pursue career in India.

And now that GL has increased its fees, may be its not as "value to the money" course as it was earlier.

@MBA-2012you mean the financial comparison between ISB and UPenn?I have always maintained there are three schools (US Based - that is) that are immune to all this rankings drama. Harvard, Wharton and Stanford. Everyone else is in the running to be a second tier school.
No, I meant, the brand name itself. Not the financial side.!
