Oh.. its very simple. see... 1. friday follows thursday. so we need to back home at a decent hour so that we can drag ourselves at office on friday 2. friday follows thursday. so we cant drink that much nor can we convince every single friend that its ok to drink because we have to drag ourselves at office on friday 3. thursday is middle of the week. so no discs are open. so we cannot enjoy being single or being in a relationship on a thursday 4. celebrating belated v. day on a saturday just doesnt feel right because it will not do justice to "saturday night"
@srm85 u know i started to watch that but its just too late. i think of myself as an optimistic person whose alarm rings everyday at sharp 6:30 AM so that i can exercise and lead a health lifestyle. bas wahi soch ke i switch off the television and go to bed. when i actually sleep and when i actually get up is a different story altogether! π but... at least my intentions are there. someday... i hope soon my sacrifice of not watching Homeland will pay off...

There is a repeat telecast at 7 PM everyday. Maybe you don't have to make that sacrifice after all

I see, you have plenty of issues with thursday, but hope this friday makes up for those things.

This happened to two of my colleagues who have been refreshing their GMAIL since morning. I assume the anxiety of tomorrow is mind boggling. Forget focussing on your valentine or work.
Well now Ive put them out of their anxiety by giving them a deadline to finish before they get done for the day.
A quick question for the group - What's the conversion rate from Interview to an actual offer of admission to the program? An alum of ISB I know made it sound like it is automatic - i.e, an interview means that an admission is *almost* guaranteed. With all the agonizing going on in these forums - I find it hard to believe that interview->admission.
Anyone has any data on what that %age would be?
I am assuming some veterans of the forum will have info about what the patterns were last year etc.

According to an ISB adcom chat transcript the ratio is 8:4:1::Applications:Interviews:Admits
This was the ratio before ISB had 770 class-size and 2 campuses and video essay. This ratio must have changed. There is no official figure on the ratio.

There is some speculation on this but the ratio is somewhere between 1:3 to 1:4, i.e admit to interview ratio

There is no official figure but last year it was estiamted at about 1:4 or 1:5 by various sources. I don't think the video essay would change anything.

I have a doubt... Since the video essay was meant to assess communication skills, wouldn't it reduce the number of interview calls?
