I have a doubt... Since the video essay was meant to assess communication skills, wouldn't it reduce the number of interview calls?

Two differnt ways of looking at it.
a) 4 interview calls were given per seat because there would be people who looked good on paper but did not have communication skills.
b) I will call the top 770*4 people for interviews and select among them for final admission

If I were running a company I would probably go with option b. What ISB has done though is anybody's guess.

@Daemon_hunter Hey! How has your experience been thus far at ISB? You must have completed all the core terms. What did you do to make a transition from a full time job to the PGP coursework. It would be great if you could enlighten us

It is definitely a change. I have seen people come in with 13+ years of experience and people with 2 or 3 years of experience. Each one has managed differently. Some experienced people found it similar to sitting in 2 hour meetings others found the class room setting a big change.
Some people with 3 years experience haven't had to sit still for that long and some took to it very easily.

It depends on the individual. However one thing is for sure. You get used to dealing with change. And that is what an MBA is all about. How to excel in a constantly changing environment.

@Daemon_hunter Thanks for the info. One last thing, for admitted students, between Feb 15 and the start of the course, is it allowed to visit campus to interact with current students, professors, etc??

There is some speculation on this but the ratio is somewhere between 1:3 to 1:4, i.e admit to interview ratio

Its twice as easy to get an iview call than to convert it.

Last 24 hours puys ... All the Best to everyone

Any takers for this?

7.41 am here and I've already refreshed my inbox quite a few times... I wonder how rest of the day will go for me... lol

Anyway, the reason to post this is that I want to wish everyone a very best of luck. Whatever comes, success or failure, don't let this get into your head.

Round 1 admit - got the e-mail at night. No point refreshing your mailbox all day!

At long last, the day of reckoning is upon us. In several hours, there will be contrasting emotions; ecstasy and despair, not so much in equal proportion on these pages. The road thus far has been exciting and excruciating at the same time. At the end of it, awaits the most coveted, mind-blowing, roller coaster of an experience also known as the PGP program at ISB.

This forum and its people add another dimension to the application process. Among fellow applicants, competitors even, we find friends, distract each other, provide positive encouragement, console those not so fortunate to have been given an invite and among other things, speculate absolutely baseless theories regarding the application process. The silent spectators scrutinize these pages at length for useful information and thank us much later. A mosaic group we have here with one common thread of hope.

Best of luck fellow applicants and just remember this one thought by a great man

"All our Dreams can come True, if we have the Courage to pursue them. "

Been a silent observer for about 4 months, finally couldn't resist posting. Had my interview through Skype on jan 20. Working as Environmental Engineer in Texas for 4 yrs. eagerly waiting for tomorrow (morning my time).

when do we reject mails? will that also come tomorrow or follow sometime later?

@swna Yar don't talk about reject mails until they arrive πŸ˜ƒ Let's hope they never arrive :)
