Ohh that really gr8!!.. i would really great if you can refer or share some sample essays.. for me to work in the right direction..

You are much better off with starting on your own and coming up with the first draft of essays. Reading a sample essay might bias you towards the format/structure etc.

Once you have a loose structure for your own essays available, there is no harm in looking at sample essays to improve your essays.

Though on a related note - me/ most of my friends never looked at sample essays - the best approach is to write the essays yourself and then get them reviewed by friends & family.

@[353763:singhsid]... Can pls suggest sumthng for the 2nd essay???? I have mentioned my querry in post no. 1503..

Currently am preparing for GMAT and aiming a score upto 680 - 710 .

Now here comes sickness - What chances I would be having? Work Ex in totality would be around 4.3 when I get a chance to be in the bestowed college! Is it too less? What my profile says? Would you consider this a Class 1 (premium) experience or lesser? My goal is to be an MBA from here so that I can save my 1 year and also to achieve that trajectory in my career! My long term goal is to have my own enterprises in my Country and also am strictly against moving to abroad to showcase my talent!

Hi I am new to this forum..I am focussing to give gmat in december this year,,,I have few concerns ..your valuable inputs can help me to clear them...

1) how much part does the reference plays in ur admission at ISB?

2) how many references are required...references from the current employer is required or from all the past employers

3) do frequent switches effect admission at ISB??

@[243158:Pinto] Hi, First of all I'm not a coach who can evaluate your profile, but just as a helper or friend, I consider your profile as impressive but your limited work ex can push you to work hard on your apps and interview. A little more than 2 yr work ex will make you eligible for almost all the top B schools, but getting selected there can prove to be tough.

You can apply for ISB or NUS or some other good Asian universities,as they'll provide a good ROI.
Generally work ex is counted till the date you have filled the application form :)

@[442996:muvvalasumanth] Hi, impressive profile....I'm not a consultant, but feels that you hold a good chance of getting in ISB

I'm not sure what is essay no. 2 but it looks like it might be talking about your long term/short term goals post-ISB. To be very honest, you sound a little confused on this front - whether to pursue a career in finance or consulting.

So my only advice would be - think carefully about what you really want out of your career. The ad-com would look for clarity of purpose in your application and sounding confused will not help.

Hi guys,

My profile below-

10th CBSE-75%,12TH CBSE-72%,*GRAD-B.COM-55%,CFA 2ND LEVEL,GMAT-750

I know that I do not have great academics but puys please suggest if I can still look forward getting into ISB.

@[414006:shivangi2010]: Theres more to ISB admission than only grades. You have managed to get a fantastic GMAT to offset any doubts. Just concentrate on your strengths and maximise on your experiences both personal and professional. I am sure u will be in for a good chance.

@ @[565359:sudhir3127] : Can you please throw some light on my concerns,,,your valuable comments will help me making a mindset..thanks in advance
