in 2018 electronics cut off was 58 around so those who are critisizing us for protest just stop. we dont need gyan from such you guys.

Guys, i just called them.They are telling that they have fixed the cutoff first and then called those who are above cutoff. They told they have internal criteria to call those who are scoring 50% marks and above. I asked that question was of high level then she replied that that is why we have given relaxation and fixed the cutoff.I asked how can u fix the cutoff,where it is given in the advertisement then she replied that it is internal and no where is mentioned. I asked why it is not done for mechanical, she told we didnt get much candidate above cutoff marks in ELectronics that is why called less candidates. Then i told her that if student are scoring less it means question was hard and also time taking.
Then she told to send a mail and file RTI for this.
Guys, its a blunder done from ICRB. Please call them in large number now only and create pressure.Also send mail and file RTI.

1) What is the extant norms?
2) Who decides this extant norms?
3) Where is it mentioned that cutoff should be 50% otherwise extant norms will applicable?
The question level was high, time consuming.and also 5 questions were excluded from evaluation. Due to these reasons, average marks scored by candidates for BE001-ELECTRONICS is less when compared to other branches. So the criteria followed to call candidates for interview in BE001-ELECTRONICS is totally not justified here.
Also with due respect, here cutoff is decided based on topper marks which is relative. Only one candidate has scored more than 120 marks. That simply means examination standard was high. So cut off should be decided on some fixed parameters so that ratio of seats to candidates be in a good proportion as per previous years. But here cutoff is decided on the basis of a relative parameter(Topper's mark) which is unfair for Electronics candidates.
Please do the needful and increase the seat to candidate ratio for Interview.

Also RTI is very important. Ask information like Cutoff ,criteria, No of Vacancies and Ratio of calling for all branch Electronics, mechanical and computer science.

As per the extant norms, very less number of candidates are called. Question paper was of very good standard and also time consuming. Apart from that, 5 questions were also excluded from evaluation. Due to these factors, overall marks of BE001-Electronics candidates is decresed as compared to other branches. As a consequence, there are many good candidates between 50% and 60% of the topper's marks but due to present criteria (60% of topper's marks),they are not shortlisted and will not be able to prove themselves in the interview process.This was a golden opportunity for us to prove ourself technically in this grim situation.
Therefore, i request you to please reconsider the shortlisting process for the sake of candidate's future. We shall always be obliged to you.
