Could you let us know what is the tentative date for notifying the Mumbai guys if they are shortlisted for the interview? As the forum is abuzz with Delhi guys receiving interview calls, I'm sure Mumbai guys are getting anxious to know about the notification dates as they would be next.

Thanks a lot for taking out time.I have gone through this thread and got a lot of information regarding ISB. But i still have a couple of questions in my mind which might be pertaining for my profile.Will be really glad if you can answer these -

My profile is :-
-M.S in Computer Engineering from Syracuse University,NY (Year of graduation 2008
-Currently working with Intel Corporation(Sept 2008

I want to apply to class of 2010.

I have two specific questions :-

1) Does master's student also have to show two years work experience prior to be eligible for application into ISB?

2) Also one of the eligibility criteria's for admission is "A minimum of two years' full-time post qualification work experience is preferred ".I have a Query regarding this.Prior to joining Intel as a regular employee I have worked with Intel (July 2007-May 2008 as a Full time employee(working 40 hours/week) but my designation was that of an Intern.So,now my question is that -Can i show the intern work experience as a full time Work experience, as otherwise my work experience will be 1.5 year till April 2010..as supposed to approx 2.5 years if I include my intern experience. So can i include this intern experience as a part of my full time
experience.



If this is yes ,then here's a sub query :- During the internships i have worked with two teams and I have a feedback from both my managers stating that i have worked for them for specific times.Will this certificate be good enough to be shown as sort of proof for employment during those periods?

3)According to you,should i target class of 2010 or class of 2011?

Vikram,

Yes, the internship work also will be considered. We also consider those with less than 2 years of work ex, if you have exceptional profile. We do not need any proof of employment for your internship period. Preferable application year will be 2010-11.

Hi Mr.Menon,

1> Since the number of interview locations has been cut down this year, requesting you to release the interview shortlist atleast 7 to 10 days in advance for each location, to allow applicants extra time to take care of the travel & stay logistics.

2> If ISB will allow applicants to stay on campus to attend the the interviews in Hyderabad, please let us know the contact details of the ISB facilities team who can assist with the accomodation reservations.

I am still confused as what are all the options available after MBA from ISB. I am in IT for the last 10 years and want to stay in the same field after MBA. In US, people go into product management post MBA but this does not seem like the case in India. Please advise.

P.S. Right now I am a development manager. In the long run I want to oversee the whole product cycle from conceptualization of an idea to delivery the product to the customer.

Thanks for your reply to my previous query. ISB website says interview date for Hyderabad is from 29th Oct - 12th Nov. Does this include Saturday and Sunday. Do I have the choice to choose any date and book my flight and inform ISB about this. I'm afraid I won't get a ticket at the last moment for international flights.

This is an oft mentioned topic in different forums and I am wondering if you can publish the following details about the MEDIAN CTC offered to your grads in 2008.

I believe that this MEDIAN number in addition to the average will help us all understand the general CTC distribution.

1. Median CTC for foreign and domestic placements
2. Median CTC by functional role for domestic and international placements
3. Median CTC by industry for domestic and international placements

I will greatly appreciate your inputs on this.

Dear ISB Adcom,

From the Delhi shortlisted profiles posted on various forums, I gather that this year many applicants with less experience were shortlisted for interviews and higher proportion of applicants with significant >=5 yrs work ex have not been shortlisted.

Is ISB more inclined towards young applicants this year? Is there a change in admission strategy?

Only the Delhi candidates are being informed right now. Waitlisted candidates will be announced only after the interview results are out.

This query has already been answered on Page 60 of this thread. We will not be able to provide you the role/industrywise median salary figures.

Thank you for the effort taken to answer our queries. I have few small doubts
- Do self employed students have an advantage/disadvantage over others?
- Are there startups emerging immediately post ISB. Although ISB does so much about entrepreneurship why arent there many startups emerging from students from ISB immediately post ISB.
-Can you give me some links/contacts to some of the companies founded by ISB graduates.

Hi Admissions Team,

I will be out of town in a very remote place with no access to either the internet or mobile phone from 19th to 24th Oct. I have opted for Hyderabad as the interview location. I also realize that I'm expected to send the documents in PDF to you if I'm shortlisted.

My question really is a bit forward looking. If I do get a call, would it be ok if I forward the PDFs to you on the 24 or 25 Oct?Do I need to inform this to you in advance?

Deb,

Interviews will happen on Saturdays and Sundays as well. You will not be able to choose your interview date. The Hyderabad list will come out maximum by 20 October.
