Sir,
I had applied as international student. I understand from previous bogs that mails for interview will be send out by Monday (assuming with Hyderabad candidates).
I wanted to know, if there would any update on the application status at ISB website? and how are these mails sent across? I am on office tour to third country, so cant access by postal mails. Although i have my mobile with me and receiving SMS.
Also, i am not sure about the normal interview time? Can i request any change to it, if it falls to bad timings to this location. I am at present in Nigeria and have to work under very controlled working environment.
I hope you understand my problem. Thanks in advance for the reply.

Aashish,
You can compensate for your low academics with a very good GMAT score.
However, please note that your actual admissions will depend on the quality of your application which include essays, your past academic record, your GMAT score, the recommendation you get from the reviewers whom we will contact and your performance in the interview ( assuming you are called for the admission interview).

Dear Adcom,
I have submitted my application but one of my evaluators would be able to submit the evaluation by Nov 15.
My query is
whether interview calls for R2 are decided as and when applications are submitted or are they grouped together and then sent?
I am asking this because if the former is true I would have to hurry my evaluator.
Thanks,
flber
Fiber,
You need not push your evaluator to submit the reco early as interview mails will sent out only after the deadline of December 1.
Admissions Team
Sir,
Is there any timeline fixed for emails to International Students? I am not able to see any update on my status.
Thanks
Sanchi
Sir
I want to know what is the criterion that is judged in the interview at ISB?
I have an experience of only 2yrs whn I join in april, and I have been shortlisted for interview , what(characerstic, quality) will be tested in the interview?
Also, wat are the chances of a reject post interview?
PLS reply soon!!!!!
Richa,
Please go through Page 44 of this thread. Chances of a reject post interview depend entirely upon how your interview goes.
Admissions Team
Dear Adcom,
When can we expect calls for Hyderabad based applicants?
What are the likely interview dates for Hyderabad based applicants?
Thanks in advance.
Dear ISB Adcom,
I am planning to apply in the 2nd round of application. I am a self employed person working in the UK, I am the sole trader in my limited company. Since I have started my business in the UK for less than 18 months I have not yet filed my first due IT return for the company. However I claim a meagre salary from my company which is not the right indication of my earnings. I trade directly through my agent so the last invoice may give a closer indication of my earnings. Would it be acceptable as a proof of income? If not, Sir could you please suggest something.
Thanks in advance.
Dreamer13,
Please include a statement of your earnings (you may type it on your own on a sheet of paper) and upload it as a part of proof of income.

The interviews will be conducted betweem 9:00 am - 6:40 pm IST. You may request for a time change but it will depend upon availability of time slots.

Dear Ad Com,
One quick question - What is the duration gap (in number of days) between the time he/she gets a call for personal interview and the time of interview - for hyderabad applicants?
Thanks in advance.
Hi Adcom,
I am an international applicant but haven't got a call yet. Are you still evaluating our profiles or all calls have already been sent for international candidates?
Let us know please.
Thanks

Dear Mr Menon,
I am an international applicant for R1. I had been told by email from PGPAdmissions that a decision about my application would be taken today. However I have not received any email, nor has my status changed on my application.
Since international interviews start tomorrow, I am on the edge right now as ISB is my first choice.
Would you be able to share some advise of what I should do, and if all international calls have been sent out.
Thank you once again for patiently answering all our queries.
First of all, let me congratulate all those who have received an interview call.
Secondly, I would like to clarify that there are still some interview calls remaining to be sent out (including Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai & international). So, those who have not received a call till now need not loose hope. You can expect a mail from us anytime within the next 24 hours.
I would urge all of you to have patience and bear with us. Each and every member of the ADCOM is working day and night to release the list. I know that the results have been delayed a bit, the only reason being; focus on quality and not quantity. The ADCOM wants all of you to have a great learning experience at ISB and the first step towards it is to select your classmates carefully. I want to give a fair chance to each and every deserving candidate and all this requires attention to detail.
Also, I would advice all of you not to believe in various rumors that are being circulated. In case, you have a doubt feel free to call us at 040 2318 7474.
All the Best,
Menon
Hi Mr Menon,
Apart from latest payslip, photograph and passport scans are there any other documents which need to be submitted along with the application?

Thanks for being supportive and so transparent.
I am one of many International candidates who have not received any mail i.e neither ye nor ney. We all must be patient. Having said that, what is it that we look for to realize that our application is rejected. That is, is it a rejection mail from Adcom or a deadline? In case, its later, could you please advise of one.
Thanks
Are all interview invite for international locations sent? I did not receive any email yet. Can we expect any more yes response?
interviews of international candidates are till the 10th of Nov. And interview calls can be mailed uptill 3 days before the interview date. So wait till 7th Nov atleast. All rejections are also emailed.
Good day ISB Admission Committee,
This year I attended ISB seminar in Melbourne, Australia. And I was very impressed by the ISB. But I have few questions regarding ISB admission.
My Profile:-
Age 29
Work Experience : 6 years (last 2 years managing, leading IT Teams) , All in Australia
Experience in nutshell :-
6 years all consulting experience on various clients in Mails & Logistic area , Online search.
Client interaction is all the time and work closely with the management team.
Last2 .5 years has been more leading managing roles on client side :-
1) Leading a operation team ( 6 months)
2) Leading a development team ( 1 year)
3) Project Manager and Delivery lead for all minor works ( 1 year)
Qualification : MS(Australia) IT - Computer Science
B.Tech(IT) India
Citizenship : Australia (Previously Indian)
GMAT Score : 700 awa 4.5
I am planning to do MBA in 2010-11, I have few queries regarding admission:-
1)Historically people with similar profile as me, how are there chances of getting admission?
2)I have worked couple of times, helping vision impaired person to learn computer. Would these activities considered as Extra curricular activities?
3)Because I don't hold Indian passport, can you please tell me how many students are there who are holding international passport?
4)Do you think GMAT score of 700 is good enough for my profile?
5) Another question is about my GPA
RMIT University(Australia ) calculates GPA from following tables. Unlike US university, which calculates relatively to the other student, RMIT calculates on the marks only. For example in my class, the highest GPA ( as i remember was only 3.3) and mine was around 3.
Would ISB consider how GPA is calculated in different schools and then evaluate the academic section of the student?
Grade Definition Key Code Mark Range Grade Point Value
High Distinction HD 80-100 4
Distinction DI 70-79 3
Credit CR 60-69 2
Pass PA 50-59 1
Pass only PX 50-100 Not included in the GPA calculation
Fail NN 0-49 0
Did Not Sit DNS 0-49 0

I would really appreciate if you provide answers to these questions.
